Creating real USMC rifles in EFT

Got bored and decided to try my hand at creating some of the rifles I have been issued IRL inside of Tarkov. M4A1, M27 IAR (HK416), and M110. I couldn't create everything 100% realistic due to some weapon modifications not being in the game (such as the SCO/Trijicon VCOG for the M27) so I had to substitute them with similar items. I'm sure I am not the first person to do this haha but figured some people would enjoy seeing these builds along side some pictures I have taken of the weapon systems throughout my time in the Marine Corps.

Rust FPS 1% lows

Hello everyone,

I have been getting into rust recently (been playing for about ~100 hours so far) and I noticed that with this game specifically I have been getting pretty bad 1% lows. I typically average around 160-190 FPS playing on 1440p but I get 1% lows around 40-60 FPS. I have seen on more than one occasion the 1% low dip to around 10 FPS. Given I have a relatively high end system, I am pretty confused as to why this game is giving me such a hard time when literally every other game isn't. My CPU usage stays around 70-80% and GPU usage around 50-60% but those numbers can be relatively volatile as well.

Have others been experiencing this? If so, has there been any solutions?

System specs for context:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D

GPU: RTX 5080 Founders Edition

RAM: 64 GB G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo DDR5

Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B850-E

Prior Marine Corps TACP looking to go USAF TACP

Hey all,

Just want to preface this with I will be searching for an Air Force prior service recruiter who will be able to answer most of my questions but figured I'd ask some here in the event someone can give me the information earlier. I was denied re-enlistment in the Marine Corps in my primary MOS due to boat space (I was training in Korea for most of my re-enlistment window and when I got back too many people of my MOS re-enlisted before me so now the job is closed for my re-enlistment fiscal year). I am 21 years old and currently have a primary MOS of 0861 fire support marine (artillery forward observer) along with a B-MOS of 0873 joint fires observer (JFO). While I am not currently a JTAC, I have been working within the USMC TACP program for over two years now, I have controlled aircraft and conducted live close air support attacks (under supervision of JTAC-I/Es) on multiple occasions. Meaning, I am relatively well versed on the job of a JTAC as a whole.

What I am curious about is mostly

  • Does anyone have any experience switching branches going to USAF TACP?
  • Generally what should I expect during the pipeline?
  • As I am married (no kids), would my wife be able to accompany throughout any part of that pipeline?
  • I am pretty confident in the water but are there any crazy swimming requirements during the special warfare candidate course?
  • What should I prioritize to train physically to ensure I won't have an egregiously difficult time during the pipeline?

If anyone has anything to say it would be much appreciated. As I stated earlier I will now be looking for a USAF recruiter to talk to so I can get some more concrete answers. Just found this out today so really any information helps. Will also keep searching the internet for information too.

Thanks!
