Let us barrel oxidizer and thruster fuel
With space platform to space platform transfers in Factorio 2.1, we're really close to being able to man spaceships that are not self sufficient, and instead, focus entirely on speed. Is it practical? Maybe. I don't really care, it's just cool.
Imagine, gas station platforms on each planet that refuel your cruisers while they wait for cargo. They deliver magazines, and barrels of fuel and oxidizer. You set a wait condition based on the amount of fuel in your tanks, not having any empty barrels on the ship, and how many magazines you have onboard. Your haulers get to focus maximally on speed and on being as tiny as possible.
Being able to barrel oxidizer and thruster fuel is the only barrier to that reality. There's a mod for it, at least! I'll try it out after I complete my first vanilla playthrough!
