had this rash for a while, it was just a small red splodge about the size of a 5p piece. it’s spread like this over about 2 months. it’s dry, peeling, and itchy. it hurts more when wet.

hi there, me and my partner are moving out soon and have caused damage to a part of the flat. what should we do?
There’s a plank of plywood under the sink that hides the pipes in our bathroom. when we got our kitten, she hid in there as there was a gap for her on the top. to get her out we had to rip out the plank as she was trapped in there and we were scared of the hot pipes hurting her. we painted over it but it’s very obvious that a part has been ripped out, but not all of it.
i’m now wondering what to do. do i tell the landlord about it or leave it? or do i try to get it replaced? would tearing the whole thing out be better?
our deposit is non refundable anyways so that could pay for it? do i just be transparent?
