I am in the early stages of planning a trip for spring 2027 that includes Amsterdam, Brugge, Ghent, and Paris. I am seeing in my research that boat tours on the canals and rivers of these cities are popular attractions. Some even go so far as to say your visit to (insert city here) is not complete without a boat ride!

My question is, is it worth doing in multiple destinations, or should I pick just one? Are the experiences all that different? If only one, which would you do?

If it helps, the likely itinerary is 4 nights Amsterdam, 3 nights Ghent (with day trip to Brugge), 4 nights Paris. I will likely do one day trip Amsterdam and maybe Paris as well. Just giving an idea of how much time I will have in each place.
