Thinking about getting the Audiobooks?

EDIT: I am not promoting the AIT over the Audiobooks, I wouldn't even promote listening to the AIT on your first introduction to the series... read or listen to the AB first! Posted this because I subjectively feel that the AIT is better after listening to both formats a number of times.

You absolutely 100% should check the audiobooks out if you haven't yet. Jeff Hays narrates, and he will ruin most other audiobooks for you. Seriously. They're that good. You can find them on Audible (who thankfully had enough sense to blitz their official social media channels with LOTS of Matt & Jeff content)

BUT DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THE AUDIO IMMERSION TUNNEL???

Soundbooth Theater

Jeff & a whole crew of talented writers, actors, musicians, producers, and editors who have taken the telling of Dungeon Crawler Carl to the absolute next level. Original music, original characters, sound effects instead of Carl saying "it exploded", parody commercials, the list goes on. They brand it as a "Cinematic Experience" and I feel that is spot on. Back in the day before the wide spread adoption of TVs, radio shows were HUGE. They'd have full bands, live sound effects, multiple actors... this production reminds me of that, and it's awesome.

Currently there are 3 seasons, with each season covering a whole book. Season 4 is coming out next year because they're in the process of building a new studio!

We can all agree that Jeff's audiobook performance of the characters has refined with each iteration. For example, Carl's voice becomes more unique & recognizable as the books progress, but we get that voice straight out of the gate in Season 1 Episode 1 of the AIT. The System AI's unhinged voice solidifies in book 3, but in the AIT there is a VERY SPECIFIC point in the beginning of Season 2 where it "changes" to the voice we know & love.

If you've made it to Book 8, Chapter 57... just know we don't get that chapter the way it turned out AT ALL without the Audio Immersion Tunnel's success.

There is a Soundbooth Theater app out there, search your store of preference. FULL DISCLAIMER: the app had a rough go earlier this year with caching, downloading & remembering licensing. It has drastically improved, and it's being worked on.

The first 90 minutes of each season (books 1, 2, & 3) are free on the app. This is a direct link to the very first episode. I don't even think the Audible audiobook sample gives you that much time.

Oh, they have a ton of other audiobooks available on the platform and are giving the "Cinematic Experience" to some really cool content. Matt's other books are there too. You can even find the Penis Parade's very own Author Steve Rowland's first book of Pangea Online for free!

The best part about supporting the Audio Immersion Tunnel is that Bezos doesn't get a dime, and a talented small company gets to grow & build a new studio & bring us awesome stuff.
