I’m still kind of new to puzzle games, haven’t really played many puzzle games (probably just portal 1 and 2, a lot of games I played had some kind of puzzle elements, but they weren’t puzzle at its core), and now that it’s the summer sale on Steam, I’ve decided to maybe get some puzzle game and I can’t decide between these 3

The Witness - probably a classic among the puzzle games (seems like it lol), I have only played the free “parody” of it, The Looker, which was pretty fun I’m not gonna like

The Room series - game looks pretty mysterious and seems I’d like it

The Roottrees are Dead - again looks like a game I’d enjoy storywise

I’d prefer if the game isn’t very hard, but also isn’t easy, so basically a fun challenge for my brain

I was also looking to get Still Wakes The Deep (not a puzzle game I know), so if anyone has played this game I’d also like to hear your opinion on it

My friend recommended me Ghost of Tsushima and honestly? yeah the game looks pretty good and i trust my friend with game recs since last time he recommended Cyberpunk 2077 and it is one of my favorite games of all time (along with The Witcher 3 and Kingdom Come Deliverance).

But i was also looking to buy Red Dead 2 this summer sale because i’ve never had the pc to play it (i still don’t, but the cloud service i use had Red Dead 2 available, so i can finally play it). The issue is that because it is an insanely popular game, i’ve already heard and know about the major plot points (>!Dutch betraying the gang, Arthur dying!<) and so i’m afraid i won’t enjoy the game as much. I’ve also heard it’s a pretty slow game, but so is Kingdom Come and i really love both of those games. But there is also one downside and that is that i generally dislike Rockstar style mission design, it’s always “go here, shoot these dudes, go back” for 20 years already.

On the other hand, the only thing i’ve heard about GoT is that it’s better assassin’s creed (i did enjoy odyssey and origins tho lol), so i’m inclined to play the game i know less about, because overall i value story above gameplay.

But since GoT is more expensive than RDR2, i could also get RDR1 and 2 in a bundle and that should be around the same price range as GoT alone.
