"You can't have the battery for the full night"?

So I spoke to someone in solar sales and they told me that the battery usually doesn't cover the full night. It might reach up to half of the night but not the full evening.

This is how she explained it and how Claude explained it, it's like a pump and a water tank, you can't just have a bigger tank, you need a bigger pump to fill it too. Which I understand... then why don't we get that bigger pump? And now I understand there are cost limitations to that.

But I thought the whole point of sizing to your electricity bill and your day/night usage is to cover that electricity?

Maybe I'm missing something, maybe this is a highly optimal set up or a standard that works? Idk.

Anyway, this has been a concept I've been struggling with for a while. If anyone can help me understand, with a different perspective, that would be so helpful 🙏

Where to find lawyers and accountants?

Hi friends, I’m registering a business for the first time and I’m not sure where to look for the right people.

I need help with setting up Book of Accounts and Chart of Accounts properly. Hopefully from someone who understands the industry and who can set things up in a way that will make my life easier with BIR (if that’s possible). I’ll need help with the monthly filings too, I’m not sure if this should be the same person as the latter. And I’m looking for a lawyer who can review third-party partnership agreements.

I’ve tried looking at Upwork but no luck there. I’ve seen taxumo and askabogado, but haven't tried. Just wondering how you find people you trust with this for your business.

Any referrals, recommendations, advice is appreciated!

Multiple Decisions for Sizing a Battery??

Hi, I'm trying to understand how to size your battery because it seems like a lot of decisions can come down to personal preference (maybe I'm wrong). Hoping someone can help out.

I think the industry usual is that people will size the battery only for the peak hours of the evening when load is high and all the appliances are being used etc. But I don't understand why it isn't just sized for the full evening up until sunrise.

And how do seasons come into play, are you supposed to size a system depending on your average of the year or the highest consumption month of the year?

It seems like you can have full control over how much you get from the battery vs. the grid, so how do you decide on the best mix for that?
