Knife skills

My Scout’s troop does a good mix of camping and STEMmy activities. As a former Boy Scout, I notice a marked lack of knife safety and handling skills among the Scouts and am thinking of doing a knife skills class akin to the “totin’ chip” … I don’t think GS has a formal badge or curriculum for this? Before I go leverage open content, has anyone else done something similar?

Unicorn? Looking for a Gladstone opening weekender that’s wider than high.

I am trying to find a framed opening or Gladstone opening bag that I can use as a weekender or a short business trip bag ideally 20 inches long x 12 inches wide x 9 inches high (when closed) so I can bring it on as a carry-on. Where I’m struggling is most weekender bags I find our fine in the length dimension but they’re higher than they are wide, which makes it hard for me to pack my suits and keep them from getting wrinkled. I thought about getting a foldable garment bag, but it just doesn’t work from a way to perspective. OK hive mind am I crazy? Am I looking for a unicorn? Or is there something out there that meets this need?

Recommendation

I’ve been trying various different roasters and my current favorite is Andytown’s cold brew blend. Caffeine content feels like it’s pretty strong after about a 10 hour brew and it’s nice and smooth and chocolatey. Just thought I’d share this out there and get others thoughts on their favorite cold brew beans. Bonus for groceries that are super local, not owned by gigantic conglomerate, cough cough looking at you blue bottle.

Apple pencil, Logitech crayon, or other?

any advice or recommendations? I am exclusively using it as an input device to take notes, draw diagrams, etc. no art or anything fancy like that.
