Inherited a large archive of 17th-19th century noble family documents - looking for advice! Croatia.
Hi everyone,
This is my first time posting here, so I hope this is the right place.
I recently inherited a large collection of historical family documents and I’m trying to figure out what exactly I have and who I should talk to next.
The collection is related to the noble Vucetich (Vucetic) family from what is now Croatia.
It includes a large hand-drawn family tree, old charters, handwritten documents, diplomas, letters, documents with wax seals, and other historical papers dating from roughly the 17th to the 19th century.
I’ve spent quite a bit of time researching them, but I’m not an expert, so I’d really appreciate any opinions on whether this looks like something historically significant or valuable, and whether I should contact a museum, archive, university, auction house, or a private collector.
If anyone here has experience with old European family archives or noble documents, I’d be grateful for any advice.
If someone is personally interested in this type of material, feel free to send me a private message as well.
Thanks in advance!
