Paris Rec's First Timer with 11 year old

My wife and son have been asking about going to Paris and if I could swing it with work I might look to go over Thanksgiving when he is off from school.

Any rec's for family friendly hotels for first time trip that would be close to the major attractions and cafe's, not have tiny rooms and if possible an indoor pool?

Budget is probably $1,500 a night

Thanks!!

Four Seasons Maui

We are here now . Beautiful resort. Some of the negative reviews mentioned having to get out at 7AM or long waits for the adult pool. The complementary cabanas by the fountain pool are terrific and they have the super comfortable cushioned loungers in them . The adult pool is literally only a 1-2 minute walk from fountain pool . We have been getting set up at the fountain pool cabanas and then venturing over to adult pool for a bit later in the morning . Seems like the best of both worlds!

Maui Resorts

Currently have 7 nights booked at Four Seasons Maui and we were thinking about adding a few nights to our stay at another resort on top of the 7 nights so we can try something different. I have an 11 year old son so one of the priorities is a resort that has many activities for a kid his age ( while also not being too much of a step down from Four Seasons). Was thinking Andaz or Fairmont. I know Grand Wailea has a great pool complex but many of the reviews on Reddit are less than great. Wailea Beach Resort pools look nice too but rooms seem kind of dated. Any suggestions appreciated

Four Seasons Oahu Room Layout

Has anyone stayed at Four Seasons Oahu standard rooms with the sofa bed made up ? It seems like the layout of the room is a little odd with the sofa bed directly at the foot of the bed. From the photos it looks like when the sofa bed is pulled out the room would be really cramped with hardly any walking space between sofa bed and the dresser with the TV,

It says those rooms are 640 square feet but I wonder if a good portion of that are the bathrooms which seem huge . I’ve stayed in 400 square foot rooms that seem to have more living space in the bedroom area

Snorkeling in Wailea

What is the best snorkeling in Wailea for beginners who have never snorkeled before ? Staying at Four Seasons Maui . Is Molokini too hard for beginners ? The resort offers a guided tour you can book through their website. Traveling with wife ( not a strong swimmer) and 11 year old son
Thanks

Dynamic Pricing/ Price Adustments

I have a week booked at FS Maui for August and because of dynamic pricing the rates have been fluctuating almost daily . How many times do you guys call for price adjustments before you start to feel guilty ? ( I have done 3 price adjustments which has saved me more than $600 total from my original booked rate but sometimes I feel guilty bothering the reservation desk even though they are always very nice about it . ) Thoughts ?

Andaz/ Four Seasons Maui Split Stay?

As a follow up to my FS Oahu vs Maui post from a few days ago, after pricing our options we are leaning towards Maui but also splitting our stay up between FS Maui and Andaz to better fit our budget, get an extra (8th night) in Hawaii and to experience 2 different resorts that have different vibes.

Current booking is 7 nights at FS Maui in Deluxe Garden View Exec Suite. Total cost for 7 nights is $16,500 and downside is really no ocean view from room/ balcony.

Due to current Andaz promotions I can do 3 nights Four Seasons Ocean View and 5 nights Andaz Ocean View Suite for around $13,000 total. I get an extra night in Hawaii and also Ocean Views all nights for my Hawaii stay ( which is important to us as sitting on our balcony and enjoying ocean views is one our favorite things to do on vacation)

Question for those who have stayed at both resorts - Is Andaz that much of a downgrade from Four Seasons ( especially with the potential large savings)? I know I have read some that standard rooms at Andaz are small but we would be staying in a large suite there so that eliminates that concern. Only hassle is packing/ checking out mid trip but we would probably just wear our bathing suits and check our luggage with valet and hang out but the pool until our room is ready at the Andaz.

Four Seasons Maui or Four Seasons Oahu First Time visit

Currently have 7 nights reserved at FS Maui Deluxe Garden View Executive Suite for Mid August. We booked this room category because it will be 3 of us including my 11 year old son and he likes have a separate sleeping area/ space for himself. I might only get a small peak of the ocean from the lanai though. Would love to have an ocean view but the Ocean View Prime Suites are more than double the rate.

I can switch to an 8 night stay at the FS Oahu resort and probably get Ocean View Suite/ or at least club ocean front room for less than Maui because of the stay 3 get 4th off promotion at Oahu.

This would be our first trip to Hawaii and we would be celebrating wife's 50th plus my son's elementary school graduation.

If we go to Oahu we would probably check out Kualoa Ranch, Pearl Harbor and probably book Aulani next door cheapest room for 1 night so my son can have access to pools/ resorts for 2 days.

If we do Maui we would probably spend most of the time relaxing at resort, do some snorkeling, maybe a boat tour and some dining/ shopping at the Wailea shops.

We were debating doing both islands but I think that would be too rushed for only 7 or 8 days in Hawaii and do not want to do an inter island flight this trip.

Am I overthinking it and maybe just keep my existing reservation as is?

Maui FS is generally regarded as the better resort but the reason I am considering Oahu is better Ocean Views, more potential things to do ( Kualoa Ranch, Pearl Harbor, Aulani) and slightly lower cost.

Thanks

For those that have stayed at Four Seasons Maui in one of the club rooms- are the ocean view club rooms worth the extra cost?  There is a significant difference in rates between regular ocean view and club ocean view rooms.  I know the club rooms are on the top floor so ocean views are probably much better and my wife/ son would probably really enjoy having access to the club lounge.  Or am I better off going for the extra space in a Deluxe Garden View Exec Suite? ( Probably will not get much of an ocean view-if any but my son would have his own sleeping area which he really likes as well). Would be 3 of us in the room ( myself, wife and 11 year old)
