Supersix EVO 5 or Cervelo Soloist?

I am currently looking for my first road bike. Currently I have a gravel bike but I tend to ride the road more than gravel.

My riding is mostly fitness rides at 4am. I ride about 4-5 times a week, about 100 miles a week. I’m a dad of 1 year old twins so every mile needs to count.

I may do a half Ironman or a few triathlons as well.

I am considering the Supersix EVO 5 with 105 di2 or the Cervelo Soloist 105 Race. Both are right around my budget at $5000.

Can anyone offer insight on which might be best? I have test rode the soloist but not the Supersix EVO yet.

Also will the SSE have enough clearance for a 4iii power meter?

Soloist 105 Race or Cannondale Supersix Evo 5

I currently have a Salsa Journeyer but have mostly been road riding for fitness. I’d like to buy a bike more optimized for my riding. I also am training for triathlons and Ironman. My budget is around $5000.

Currently considering a Cervelo Soloist 105 Race for $4800. Fit felt great and snappy when I test rode it.

My LBS also has a Supersix Evo 5 with 105 Di2 for $5000. I would need to get a power meter for this one. I haven’t been able to test this one just yet.

I originally was going to get the Soloist Rival AXS but it’s stretching the comfort of my budget too much.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Cervelo Soloist vs QR Service Course

I’m new to Triathlon and looking to get my first road bike. I’m currently on riding a gravel bike for my training rides.

I am currently considering the Cervelo Soloist and the Quintana Roo Service Course. Can anyone give me feedback on which would be best? I know it will mostly come down to fit.

My riding is about four training rides a week ranging in challenge and duration. I’d also like something fun to ride for fast group rides and cafe rides.

I’m drawn to the QR for its brand identity around Triathlon and endurance endeavors. I also like the customization and the fact its final assembly happens in the US.

I’m drawn to the Soloist for its brand recognition and there is more data and reviews around it so I have a better idea of what I am getting.

Soloist Rival AXS vs 105 Race

I’ve narrowed down my next bike with be a soloist. Now I need to decide on drivetrain. I am trying to decide the 105 Race or Rival.

I’ve never owned a bike with SRAM AXS. I like the idea and customization of an electronic transmission.

The 105 Race seems to strike a great balance of price and performance.

This bike will be my training ride for Ironman prep, fitness rides, group rides, ect.

Aspero or Caledonia?

I know there are 30 other people asking this in the forum but I wanted to ask it for the 31st time.

That said maybe my situation is slightly different. I am trying to decide between a Caledonia with Sram Force or a Aspero with Rival and a second wheel set with road tires.

I currently own a Salsa Journeyer which I plan to keep for chunky gravel or leisure rides.

Recently I started doing more fitness rides and am potentially going to start prepping for a Ironman and triathlons.

I also live in Southern Maine where roads are somewhat junky, there are also quite a few hard packed trails to link roads together I like to ride.

Which would be a better bike for me given I’ll keep the journeyer.
