I need help on how to advise my daughter on what to do so any advice would be great. Her bf has been telling her for about a month now that he’s having thoughts of ending his life. I just learned this a couple of days ago and of course let his parents know. I knew something had been wrong with my girl this past month bc her health has been bad… missed 3 days of school and spent a night in the er due to stomach pains. I worried about ulcers from staying so busy with extra curriculars and finals at school and all that. Now I know it’s from this. She’s had no idea how to help or what to do with this information. It’s a lot for a kid. Over the weekend she ended it with him after he stormed out of his house and his parents found him in a parking lot with broken knuckles from punching the inside of his truck. I know the kid is suffering with something…he’s been so kind to my girl buying her flowers every week, opening doors, just really a sweet boy but this has me thrown. Now she’s missing him, wanting to get back with him and I just don’t know how to advise her here. I want what’s best for them both. She takes my opinion and advice seriously so I don’t want to mess this up.
