Baseboard caulk - what would you do here?

How would you finish these gaps along the bottom of the baseboards?

Our contractor caulked the baseboard-to-tile joint, but some areas have opened up/shrunk and need another pass. Before we have it redone, I’m wondering if there’s a cleaner-looking option.

I know shoe molding or a small scribe could cover the gaps, but I’m hesitant to add another layer of trim because I really like the simple, modern lines of the new baseboards.

Would you recaulk it and call it done, or use some type of trim here?

Full wall or half wall tile?

We're at the very end of our primary bathroom remodel just waiting on a few floor tiles to arrive so the floor can be finished🫠

Love how our shower tile came out and want to carry the same tile onto the wall behind freestanding tub. The bathroom has a huge opening directly into our bedroom, so this wall is a focal point.

Pics of the current room and two renderings. The wall plate is staying where it is (junction box and not going to ask to move it at this point) so that’s pushing me a little towards just stopping at the shelf and letting the top half breathe.

A half wall with ledge top would be ideal but would require a build out which we also don’t want to get into at this point. Also originally thought I wanted half wall to wrap around corner but then it would end abruptly at the window and it was giving 90’s platform tub deck (which we just paid to rip out 😅)

I’m trying to make it look intentional, not like we had leftover tile. Which one would you pick?!

ETA: if you vote full wall, would you ask for the junction plate to be moved to other side of wall or just live with the tiles cutting around it?

Tonal customer service NIGHTMARE

Never had so much trouble giving a company more money in my life.

Ordered a Tonal 2 during the summer sale. Before placing the order, customer support confirmed over the phone that the accessory bundle and extended warranty could be purchased separately after the machine order was placed. We wanted to use a different payment method, so we were told to simply call back once we had an order number.

Simple enough, right?

Wrong.

When we called back, we were told it couldn’t be done. Not only could we not use a different payment method, we couldn’t add the accessories or warranty at all. Meanwhile, Tonal was sending us automated emails reminding us that we had 30 days to add the extended warranty and encouraging us to purchase accessories.

Over the next three+ weeks, we went through multiple escalations, conflicting answers from supervisors, promises of callbacks that never happened, and repeated assurances that someone would resolve the issue. One supervisor even confirmed that this could absolutely be done, that we had done everything correctly and that our case was specifically being reviewed by his regional director. We never heard back.

Eventually we were told the only solution was to cancel and reorder.

So we canceled, and it still. isn't. OVER.

Ryder confirmed the cancellation, but Tonal still hasn’t provided cancellation confirmation, refund details, or an update on the Affirm loan, so they’re “escalating” again. At the same time, we’re still receiving emails saying our machine is ready for delivery.

To make things even more confusing, we were later offered complimentary membership months if we reorder and told summer sale pricing could be honored after the fact by calling back for an adjustment—which sounds exactly like the process that got us into this back-and-forth purgatory of hell in the first place.

The most frustrating part is that we still want the product. We weren’t trying to cancel. We were repeatedly told cancellation and reordering was the only way to resolve an issue that Tonal’s own support originally said wouldn’t be a problem.

Maybe Tonal is a great machine. But this has easily been the most frustrating purchasing experience we’ve ever had, especially for a $6,000+ purchase.

If you’re ordering, make sure every accessory, warranty, and add-on is included in the original order because apparently trying to add them later is a full-time job you never asked for.
