Jam players

Jam players

Are all the same. I've never seen a Jam player who didn't play exactly the way I've expected them to play, but somehow it keeps working for them

The most optimal combo for ABA I could come up with from 2H counter

Is there any more sauce I can squeeze out of the bottle or is this the pinnacle of what ABA can do in Normal Mode?

I've given myself the freedom of using 1rc because if you're at a point where enemy has no burst and you're pulling this shit you will likely have meter anyways, and HKD from air key is always good

(this is the only stock of this Axl I've been able to take after 22 consecutive losses. you can imagine what the other 22 games looked like)

I am not too informed, so keep in mind that stuff I say might not be correct, it's just what I figured out on my own

I want to be clear that I am not blaming anyone but myself. The only players I'm able to beat are the ones that I can reliably 2k>2d>keygrab, or the ones that make constant obvious mistakes which is not a testament to my skill.

I crumble when I'm forced to approach, the only thing about neutral I know how to do is to block and wait for the enemy to finish their string so I can get my turn, and when that isn't possible, (like in this case) or I'm fighting characters that end their string too far away from me to reliably punish, i get stuck blocking and overthinking things

I literally got zoned by a passive nago yesterday because if I did 236k, 214k, dash, or jump he would just punish me with f.S, 2H or Zarameyuki reactively, he would just wait for me to try any way of approaching and use the appropriate punish after I did so.

I find myself constantly fishing for slashes so I can start my combo, or 2k so I can keygrab. Against better players who know what I can do, I just get mixed while constantly blocking and then they just run up to me and throw me, which I constantly try and dash away or parry with a throw, sometimes I just spam it and get thrown anyway, and then they catch on that I'm trying to punish their throw and just continue mixing me instead.

2.0 gutted the combos I wanted to learn, as well as stuff I was used to abusing in the past, for example, I would literally just 5h>wild assault and win because I was constantly in my enemy's face so at least some stray hit might connect because I could always close the distance. Recka was also my trump card I used to do all the time because it gave so much JR as well as time to get into a better position.

Also any tutorial about aba that exists is so unbelievably out of date, just because 2.0 changed so many things, so even if I wanted to learn more stuff I'm forced to scour youtube for aba guides with less than 1k views.

recka is now questionable to use, wild assault is not there anymore, fuzzy mix doesn't exist, exiting out of JR and doing the H super at wall stuck is not the best idea, I don't even know the correct use for 5H, and neither does anyone I asked because they all have different ideas of how it's used...

I'm ranting
