Japanese maple not doing so well

My Maple is about 5 years old. It has been doing fine all the way up to a few ago, the leaves started browning and drying up. We have tried to water it as much as we can. I live in Charleston SC so its been really hot. The past few weeks it has rained alot as well. It gets mostly indirect sun except for an hour mid day and then a couple hours around 6till 8 pm. Is it dying?

Pebble tec

I am getting ready to put in a pool in my backyard. The initial write up includes pebbletec plastered into the gunite pool. What is this stuff like. Is it really rough or smooth? Are there better options i should ask for? It has a 15 year warranty on the pebbletec and lifetime on the basin

Pentair

Are they the standard in pool systems? Good? Bad? I am working on putting a pool at my house and i am just trying to figure all this out. Any input is welcome. Thanks
