Women's SP Jumps at 2026 Lombardia (Niina, Jia, Lara)
Jia Shin got an edge call on her flip. Niina Petrokina and Lara Naki Gutmann were called clean. Do you think the calls were fair? How does Jia get so close to the boards every time?

>"Welcome to my recovery diary ✨❤️🩹
Being an professional figure skater that’s healing from mental anorexia.
>Episode 1.
>With first competition being in the book. I’ve realized that it was time to share one of the side of the reality of my off season that I never showed yet!
>My struggles.
>Coming out with my story in November 2025 brought soo many new people and things into my life. I’m cherishing that every single day. Last season I had to face the reality of learning to live in my new body, facing hate and understanding what actually was happening last 6 years in my life.
>My summer was special as I mentioned it in the post before but for sure it had also darker moments. After the disappointment with how the World in Prague went I felt back into the loop with food and proper nutrition. Wasn’t able to eat because of my digestive issues but then I stayed in it again. Lost weight (my head really liked it) saw results that I wasn’t able to achieve over the season and found myself completely lost. My anxiety grew and to imagine going back on the ice, start thinking about new season and skate was unbearable for my mind and body. I was searching for the escape which was to stop for good.
>BUT since you saw me in Japan now, that means I found a way out. Took serious actions with my team, had support that I’ve never imagined. I took longer summer break to understand how to shape my future. Faced the reality and we found the light back day by day. ✨
>Im not there yet. And saying this out loud is quite heavy. I’m not a person that can be patient hah🤣🙌🏻 but I guess that this journey is gonna teach me real hard.
>I’m learning, im failing. One day I love by body, the other day I hate it and I feel ashamed and disgusted by it. Finding my best way around food and always searching for the light!
>I don’t want anyone to feel sorry for me! My reasons of sharing my story are very simple. If I can save even one life or at least show that there is a different path to choose then it’s all worth it!❤️
>I’m not giving up! We keep going!
Love yourself and your life. We are not here for forever
>With love your peach ❤️🍑🌸

The All Stars 11 song version was longer, so I had to do some weird edits.
Tim came out publicly as bisexual in 2023. The conversion therapy happened in 2013 when he was 21. He didn't realize what it actually was till years later when he starting seeing a therapist in Colorado Springs before the 2022 Beijing Olympics.
>“I was told, ‘They’re going to pray over you’ — bang the champagne against the ship, and then you go off into the sunset,” Koleto tells Outsports, reflecting on what happened in 2013.
>“So I go over there, and it’s this woman. The second I sit down, she looks at me and says, ‘You have a homosexual target on your back.’”
>Koleto began to worry. “I’d been programmed in my religion that this is wrong and impure, something that needs to be prayed away, like a perversion.
>“She tells me, ‘I’m not strong enough to pray over you myself, and I can tell that your father wasn’t in your life. I’m going to call my husband, who is also a priest, and he’s going to come and pray over you.’
>“So she brings her husband in. They put their hands on me and ‘pray it out’ of me, before sending me on my way.”
>Although Koleto was startled, he allowed what happened to slip away into his subconscious, alongside other experiences that suggested being gay was anathema. It was not unusual for adults within his evangelical church community to claim they could counteract homosexuality through prayer.
>In fact, it was so commonplace that years later, when Koleto mentioned his encounter with the Colorado Springs couple to his therapist, he was surprised to be asked: “How did it feel to go through conversion therapy?”
>The question prompted further analysis. “My therapist said what happened to me would be illegal in Canada. I had never perceived it before as conversion therapy, and that stuck with me for a while.
>“It’s part of why, in 2023, I decided to come out publicly. I had been out privately to my family, friends and my wife for years prior. But I thought there are a lot of kids who have been through something similar.”
Happier times at the end of the article, Tim wants to be open about his sexuality to help end conversion therapy in the US and advocate for LGBTQ rights in Japan:
>In Montreal, Koleto has found that sense of security, not least because he is currently in a happy relationship. “First boyfriend in my whole life! So that’s been an interesting process,” he says with a broad smile.
March 7, 2026, began like any other ordinary Saturday at a competition. The 2026 Eastern Adult Sectional Championships were underway in York, Pennsylvania, while the 2026 Pacific Coast Adult Sectional Championships were taking place in Spokane, Washington. But by the end of the day, it wasn't the skating that everyone was talking about — it was the marriage proposals. Two of them.
Let's start with the East Coast.
Daniel Donigan, a former contestant on RuPaul's Drag Race, made a bold impression when he took to the ice in the championship adult solo dance event at Eastern Adult Sectionals, dressed as his drag persona, Milk.
Daniel Donigan performs as Milk at The Skating Club of Boston.
"I'm a world-famous drag queen," Donigan shared of his profession. "I'm a certified personal trainer and skating coach. I manage the U.S. flagship store for Extreme Cashmere in NYC. I'm happy to have returned to competitive sports, especially in such a supportive field like adult figure skating. If you find the things in life you love doing, please do them. And if you have the opportunity, combine them!"
To complement his bridal-themed free dance, Donigan wore a veil. But the most notable accessory was the one that was hidden.
"My costume designer, Jazzmint Dash, sewed in a darling ribbon with a clip to the underskirt of my costume that the engagement ring was attached to."
Veer Nanavatty, Donigan's partner of five years, spectated from the kiss and cry. After the performance, Donigan pulled out the ring, and Veer said yes.
"We had been talking about getting married for some time, and what is a better landscape to get down on one knee in full drag and ask the love of your life to marry you than a really cold ice rink in York, Pennsylvania?" Donigan said.
"Veer is an incredible man. Thoughtful and intelligent, handsome beyond compare, and he has never once cooked a meal that wasn't yummy!"

"The survivor in the alleged sexual assault case for which Canadian Olympian Sorensen was originally banned has come forward to me to publicly share her name. She is Ashley Foy, a former US ice dancer who now is a coach in the Netherlands. This is what she had to say:
>'Anonymity during the investigation was crucial to both protect my mental wellbeing and the integrity of the legal process. I never planned to come forward out of shame. But my childhood friend Bridget Namiotka lost her life after she was bullied for coming forward. My friend Gabi Papadakis lost her job after coming forward. This needs to end. I have carried the same of being violently raped and nearly killed for 14 years and it's now time for that shame to be carried over to the rapist. I don't care what professional retaliation I face anymore. I can't bear to face another person talking about this case to me not knowing I'm the victim and hearing their thoughts on it.'"

Fear and Gibson use this as one of their difficult turns in the RD pattern step and the FD step sequence. Do any other teams have difficult turns that are supported like this? It seems so heavily assisted that I'm surprised it counts.
*Edited to clarify, Lilah's mohawk is really different compared to these others below. I'm mostly curious if this was something this team developed or other ice dancers have done similar in the past.
