Stuttery footage on ZV-E10 II
Hi everyone,
I recently got a Sony ZV-E10 II and recorded some 4K 25fps footage in bright sunlight. Looking at the playback, the motion looks stuttery and choppy whenever the camera moves.
I checked the metadata in Catalyst Browse and realized the auto-exposure set my shutter speed to 1/315s (and up to 1/1000s in full daylight) at f/11, ISO 100. I understand this breaks the 180-degree rule and removes all natural motion blur.
What puzzles me is that whenever people recommend "essential accessories" or best settings for this camera, it's always about mics, cages, grips, or extra batteries. Almost no beginner guide mentions a Variable ND filter as a top priority.
How are you guys getting smooth cinematic motion in daylight without an ND filter? Are most people closing down the aperture, or is everyone secretly using ND filters and just not listing them?
Thanks!
