Trying counseling in mid-30s even though it doesn't feel right?

I'll be 37 in August and I'm trying new things and stepping outside my comfort zone to figure out a new career path. So, I signed up for one week (minimum) at a day summer camp from 8am to 3pm.

But I'm a bit nervous. Even though I have two boys (3 and 6), I never had the energy/vibe for working with kids, whether it's in a summer camp or as a teacher.

Anyone was in a similar situation? Would love to hear other's experience.

What bike do your kids (ages 5-8) ride?

My kid just turned 6 and I want to get him a decent, lightweight mountain bike. I'm looking at options like the Co-op REV ($367 on sale), Specialized Riprock, or Hotrock. I don't mind buying used since he'll just put stickers on it anyway, but I haven't found a good deal yet. My budget is flexible, especially if the bike holds a good resale value.

What do your kids ride? Also, do hydraulic brakes and a front coil fork actually matter at this age?

How does the 20-inch Co-op kids bike hold up over time?

My son turned 6 and I want to get him a bike with gears. It's only 6 gears but honestly as a kid I've used more than 5-6 gears anyway. REI is having their 20% off so I can get it for $400 after tax, and it should last him at least for few years as he's pretty short.

My question is - those who have kids with this bike, how does it last? He's already into kids park and I hope we can start doing simple trails this season.

I tried about 6 helmets (trying to find on sale) and none of them fully fit my head shape. Got pretty close with the Fox Racing Proframe but it wasn't as tight, so might just increase my budget and buy the RS model that has the dial-in fit system.

Anyone here is struggling to find a FF that fits their head size, or is it just my weird shape?

He always been an observer and cautions, and I've been ok with it.

Over the past six months, this has changed drastically. Unless we go alone, he seeks out other friends to follow, often giving up what he wants to do just to join them. He always avoids confrontation, to the point that his little brother(3) is intimidating to him. He literally lets him take his toys, telling me that he doesn't want his brother to yell at him.

Honestly, this makes me super anxious. My wife keeps telling me it's normal, but I have a feeling he has a serious problem with confident and/or lack of control. I fear this won't change, as I am struggling with it till this day.

Am I projecting my worries and fear onto him? Someone has/had kids with similar behavior?
