It’s been rough- but I’m **trying** to do cardio now!

Hi all. I’ve been struggling with fibro- as all of us are. Ive been challenging my self to start running because doctors suck and nothing seems to help. So I’ve been taking it upon myself to still try healthy things and hope for the best. The only advice I’ve been taking with me has been from my PT who told me that fibromyalgia as a misfiring of pain signals. Because of this, he recommend me to remind myself that when I am in pain, I am not in danger. The pain would want me to stop of course, but my stopping I’m reinforcing the pain signals to continue firing the way that they are. So even though it HURTS- keep doing it- it will get easier.

For the first few weeks I just went on more walks/ simple hikes. Between .5-4 miles sporadically.

Last Friday I started jogging. I was able to complete .78 of a mile in 11 minutes and I jogged about half of it.

This morning- I did the same .78 of a mile- and I jogged like 90% of it! Completed it in 8 minutes!!!

I don’t feel the best this morning- but comparing it to last Friday I’m way better. No throwing up! lol

Trying to tap in more to this style! I have some barriers though. I need tips, sites and sources!!

Hi all! Although my interests have always fallen into the whimsigoth category. (Art, media, music, ect..) However- my clothing does not show it at all! I think my struggle is that I am very active at work and off the clock. I also have sensory issues with jewelry in general, and most skirts and dresses are not my thing. Right now I wear leggings and pullovers with sneakers. I’m open to exploring, but I genuinely want to express more of the whimsy goth aesthetic I carry in my brain outward into my clothing!

I guess I’m mainly looking for ways to carry the whimsy goth aesthetic into an active life style.
how do you accomplish this?

Thanks in advance.

*New here* I desperately need recipes to diversify my kitchen and cooking skills!

Hi all! I am politiely requesting you to share your favorite dinner recipes that is not a caserole.

I'm in the US. Alot of my dinner skills that I have learned are hefty red meats with and salty potatoes, or caseroles with alot of cheese and seasoned with ketchup. I tried a Pinto Bean caserole last week and it was disgusting and tipped me over the edge. My tastebuds and brain are craving something different. Everytime I google items- I feel like my search reuslts give me caseroles or the traditonal American steak and potatoes. I need some diversify my skills and expand my pantry. Today, I found a recipe for Gehaktballen met Hutspot (dutch meatballs with mashed potatoes, onions and carrot.) Im going to try it today. But any other suggestions to try in the future would be fantastic! dont be shy, I am willing to try anything!

Need some LGBTQ crochet present ideas for my coworker!

Hi! My coworkers birthday is June 1st. She was very generous when it was my birthday- I would love to gift her something that is handmade. She’s always been super curious about my crocheting endeavors so I would love to crochet her something.

I want to do something LGBTQ themed because she is a very proud representative of the community- she has a lot of LGBTQ themed decor on her desk, on top of pins she wears daily. She’s Bi and is a host of MeetUp for LGBTQ dating events. I promise I’m not taking one aspect of her personality and going nuts with it. She’s told me how important her identity and her activity in the community is, and I want to gift something that represents something that’s important to her.

I was thinking a bisexual flag pride throw blanket- but i don’t have enough time.

Any other ideas would be great!!

Hello! Trying to do more hiking these days. I’m located in NorCal/ Bay Area- I want to make a list of good hiking trails to check out!
Would love to go on a hike this weekend! Also if the trail is on the easier side- that would be great. I’m a beginner!
