What am I doing wrong?

Hi aloe community, this is my first aloe plant and I fear I am failing miserably :(
It’s in a south facing window in the north of Ireland so I don’t believe it’s getting too much direct sunlight, but I could definitely be wrong about that.
I repotted it about 2 weeks after I got it as it had started browning at the tips and the leaves were curving at the edges. There is mostly gravel and sand with a bit of compost in the mix now- when I potted it the roots looked healthy.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Thanks :) 🌱

What am I doing wrong?

Hi all, first time aloe parent here.
I’ve had this plant for around 2 months. I’ve watered it when the soil is bone dry. (A bottom water for a few hours each time with some cacti/succulent food)

The plant lives on a directly south facing window in the north of Ireland- so I don’t think it’s too strong but perhaps it is getting sunburned?

I watered it today and aloe gel seems to be leaking from the main base of the plant, but leaves are browning and going crispy, as well as curling.

My question is, am I under-watering this? Is the sunlight too direct? Or both? And what should I do to rescue it?

WSET D4/D5

Hi guys!
I’m sitting the D4 and D5 exams in a few weeks and am looking for some exam style questions so I can practice.

Does anyone have any D4/ D5 style questions they would be willing to share + any tips on what to focus on?

Thanks in advance and good luck to anyone else studying 📚 🍷 🍾

Hey guys!
I have had this cactus for a long time and will say I haven’t been the best plant mother to it,
Recently I have noticed the plant turning purple and I can’t figure out what is causing this.

Pics 3 and 4 show a little growth that I took off the plant. (It was covered in them) in pic 1 you can see a place I took them off from. I thought it was a parasite but it dosent seem to be. Any thoughts on this?

It lives in a south facing window in the north of Ireland, so you can imagine the sun is not too strong. I only water it when the soil is bone dry and not at all during winter.
