Is ok to use spray foam to seal the gap between the sleeper (or 2x4 stud) and rigid insulation foam?
Forgot to mention: it is for floor, slab on grade with sleeper
I am preparing the sleeper with 2x4 studs on top of sleeper. How to insulate?
Already put vapor barrier, some rigid insulation foam between sleepers. As there is 2x4 studs resting on sleeper, it will give some rooms to have another layer insulation if possible. Thinking to install faced fiberglass, is it ok?
Installing flush beam, the ceiling joist and rafter are side by side and nailed together. So, what kind of hanger to use or what kind of method to hang these two together?
Will start to install the floor joist soon, floor joist on pony walls.
But bathroom will have tile floor (3/8”), and also have curbless shower.
The main floor is LVP floor.
Is it necessary to lower the joist for bathroom and shower area, how many to drop for each?
Running a sewer line for bathrooms in garage area. Grade is from left to right (see pic), but need to run pipe from right to left (red color) for sewer to main.
An idea is make two 45 transition in the middle, the right side is on slab and left is under slab, due to grade.
Any suggestions for this connections?
Need to add the sleeper on SOG to match the main subfloor.
Here is the idea:
Vapor barrier on SOG
2x4 pressure treated on vapor barrier
Then add 2x6 on the pressure treated,
add the rigid foam between 2x6 as insulation, leave the space between 2x4 treated clear
There is a small hole (1’x0.5’) in the side wall to crawl space, is it possible to have the air flow to avoid humidity in the sleeper?
Got a quote for plumbing (new), listed 17 fixtures, want to check how the plumber counted.
House has: 2 full bathroom, 3 half bath (toilet and sink)
1 laundry room with toilet and sink
1 kitchen
2 outdoor unit
I want to say, this project is failed, whose idea to use the roundabout at high traffic crossing
Spent a lot a lot of money
