Zhu Ge kept inviting Baibai to film a drama together. Her contract with her studio had ended and she was packed to move to a different city when he asked again. He was handsome so she agreed and the rest is history. It's funny because afterwards they never formally confessed? Just started naturally hanging out and dating. They also adopted a dog and later a few of kitties.

IYKYK IG because why did they get engaged on the 5th, hold the engagement ceremony the 7th, and get formally married on the 9th lmfao. They both knew they wanted marriage and had already been informally engaged for a while. They had also started processing the paperwork, it was just a matter of when the official proposal would be. The problem was, they’re so open with each other that he even communicated with people to organize the proposal right in front of her.  Yet somehow he really thought he was being secretive. She said he really tested her resolve by leaving the ring by her pillow as well. On the day of the actual proposal he thought he was slick. It had rained so he pretended he wasn’t going to do it that day. Then tragedy struck! They had to take a bus to the location of the proposal and the auntie who was driving came and asked "Are you the ones proposing over there?" He said he hated that auntie so much. The atmosphere froze and it was his most embarrassing moment of the year.

When he actually proposed, he had a feeling of, finally it’s not someone else’s words. It’s his own life that he’s experiencing. He said it felt unreal like is it really me who is doing this? That's an interesting sentiment I hadn't even considered before he said that. For the actors who film dozens of romance dramas, how are their own relationships affected?

🤵👰 Oct 9, 2025: Marriage Ceremony

In the end, their wedding ceremony really was over the top and magical. Their names are white (Bai) and red (Zhu), so they used white and red flower motifs in a lot of the wedding footage that really gave the feeling of destined lovers.

They had previously discussed setting up a table and doing a lottery for fans to attend, but they livestreamed instead so that everyone could watch. Bai Xinyi’s only regret was that her father didn’t place her hand directly into Zhu Yiwei’s during the ceremony as had been her father’s dream, so they did it casually in an intimate moment later. I’ll be honest, I’m not a very sentimental or romance driven person, but their wedding stuff made even me cry.

Prior to marriage they said they were open to working with others if the right script came along, but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. They have a lot of brand deals and promotions as an official couple, from jewelry brands to skincare. In my opinion, from an emotional and business standpoint, I don’t know that working with others would be the right move. At the same time, we’ve also seen other couples suffer when fans get fatigue from them constantly working together. Right now they have the official CP marriage buff, but we will see what happens in the future. Whether the pressure from fans, an opportunity too good to pass up, or just the natural end to the honeymoon couple phase sees them working with others again OR (my wish) maybe they continue working together until one or both retire.

🥰  What I enjoy

Quite honestly, I watch more of their lives than dramas.  I’ve never shipped a real couple before and it’s just another level entirely from shipping two people who you secretly know are just friends. I love, love, love their casual intimacy. Seeing two people who are so obsessed with each other and smitten leaves me smiling without realizing. Aside from the obvious physical touch for both of them, his love language seems to be acts of service so it seems at first many people thought the relationship was unbalanced because it’s a love language hard to see from the outside looking in on the moments they choose to share. That man is so in love though. 

It’s also nice to see their support for each other. Celebs deal with a lot of hateful comments and seeing them gauge the affected party’s reaction and jump into comfort mode while scolding the rude people is so healing? There are moments where he will get cuteness aggression towards her and she’ll go on about how amazing he is.They’re also so fun and mischievous! They play around teasing each other a lot. She loves pretending to ignore him and he loves playing a pouty green tea. She always ends up folding though because he’s handsome.

He seems to be the more practical/logical of the two. Even his words of romance are very direct while hers seem more traditionally touching? He’s also a work-a-holic and she’s more chill. You can even see some BTS where she’s napping and he’s still reading the script. When they went on vacation, he was still monitoring dramas.  It’s good that they balance each other out though. I think she helps him slow down and take time to enjoy life. She also enjoys more beachy/outdoorsy vacations which he doesn’t, but he says her happiness is his happiness. In his wedding speech, he even said that now they are in a competition to see who can make each other happier in the future.

🎭 The Acting

They tend to take wattpad type romance stories that aren’t really my type. I will say that you can see the progression of their relationship in their works which is a fun journey. The affection is real and raw in their eyes when they look at each other and you feel it. I really can’t stop watching their dramas even though it’s not my usual type because of this. 

Quite frankly, I prefer his acting over hers. All I can say is that man 100% had ulterior motives when he was pestering her to take a project with him lmfao. He says she prefers strong characters who aren’t brainless like He Yan from Brocade Moon Like a Song. TBH I agree with her. I like her better when she isn’t playing a weaker character. She’s a very cute girl IRL (“The type of personality men like but she married me” according to possessive bastard zhu yiwei lmfao), but she has a natural type of cuteness so lively characters suit her. It becomes slightly grating when she tries to act in naive type roles. As for him, I haven’t seen him in a role where I’ve disliked any of his acting. He sells every character well. 

😳 Some of my fave moments- They both really spoil and pamper each other in their own ways. There are so many little moments that show this. 

• When someone said he’s not as attractive as her. She immediately watched for his reaction and when he displayed shock and sadness, she jumped to comfort him and secretly scold the person who said that
• Fans said she was chubby so he lightly complained to them for saying that because she started dieting. He also gave practical suggestions like getting a slimming injection in the jaw. She scolded him for bringing procedures up on camera. It is a sensitive subject, but he was so matter of fact about it. At the same time, he’s sat there and watched her put away 3 slices of cake in a row without saying a word. He will really accept her any way she wants to be. 
• She picked up their cat and smelled its paws and made a face, then made him smell it and they agreed it was stinky. IDK it was so domestic. I’ve also seen him being the one scooping the litter box as he should
• This is kinda gross but they have like zero boundaries. She coughs right in his face with neither of them flinching and his greedy ass will kiss her with food in his mouth. Like finish your food before you try to eat your wife too. They also call each other a piggy couple and she calls him her little pig
• At the height of the labubu trend when they were hard to get, he was scoffing at them. Then a month later she showed off the 3 labubu that he got for her. He told her that she should have what others have and she cried. He got a large brown one that’s him, a large white one that’s her, and a smaller “son”
• He went to his alma mater to give a speech and at the end he asked everyone to wish him and his wife BaiBai a happy life

✨ Dramas with fun facts

Doing something a little different this time. Rather than my faves, let’s talk about interesting details. Also not going to bother with the usual rating because their chemistry and sweetness is off the charts in every drama. 

1. Your Love | 狗一样可爱的老板 (2025)

This is the drama from that water scene in my edit. It is…wild. He is, well, her dog. As you saw, there is implied eating where he dives under the water. After this drama, Zhu Yiwei ended up very sick with some sort of chest infection. They said the water was dirty and filming was long. They were worried about pneumonia, but didn’t have time to get it checked out because they had another drama to film. TBH I never followed up myself to see what came of it, but clearly he is alive and well. Woof woof.

2. Is It Okay to Get Married with a Robot? | 是机器人的话，结个婚也没关系吧？  (2025)

 

Um, she’s afraid of men and he pretends to be a robot to be near her? There’s a sequence in here where she tries out different “modes” on the robot and he is so pitiful and cute. Bai Xinyi said she wants him to take a role where he calls her jiejie. He said that’s not going to happen and he will never play a role like this again. A lot of fans were surprised he even took this role. He does not like cute characters and isn’t typically in a role so passive.

3. The Wild One | 他野 (2025)

 

I think this is one of their better/more famous dramas. Relatively normal storyline with fire chemistry. It is not only fans who watch their dramas. Zhu Yiwei has said before that fans are like a pool of water. The water is constantly cycling in and out, but the water level stays steady. That being said, netizens who didn’t know them kept questioning why the ML was sticking his half eaten lollipops into the FL’s mouth.

4. The 10,000th Time Conquering the Villain  | 第10000次攻略反派 (2026)

The fun fact about this one is simply that it would be my fave drama from them if there wasn’t a chunk missing 😜 I love the trope of trying to push villain corruption points and failing. Yum, a tormented ML and they didn’t even give him ghost makeup?? Tortured ML first win! He’s also mute and they actually use sign language for once. Shocker. Now, I’m gonna be real with you. There are plot holes that make you go “what just happened??” but shhhhh. Turn your brain off and enjoy. Blame it on the fact the vids floating around are all 2h6m and there’s a 2h22m version lost in the ether to censorship. Zhu Yiwei also looks good as hell and Bai Xinyi is cute and lively. Also they do this cute thing where they puff air at each other when asking for a kiss and they do it in the drama too lol

5. Spoiled and Pampered | 肆宠而娇 (2025)

 

A version of what a good girl that I find a bit more brutal and uncomfortable. IMO what a good girl is unexpected for a vertical drama whereas this is classic vertical drama. Character wise? I don’t think arrogance suits her at all and I’m not convinced. She plays brief moments of crazy sooo well but every time she giggles at ML trying to be coy I get secondhand embarrassment. Idk if it’s intentional though because ain’t shit to laugh about in this girl’s life. I’m also not saying I wouldn’t fold just as quickly as her man does but still. They are both highly attractive in this. She was happy about the pretty clothes and apparently he was too because bro. There’s dick grabbing, tongue multiple times, tying up with prayer beads, and untying clothes with mouths. Baby, they were dedicated to going to hell with those buddhist beads let me tell you!

🎬 Hot moms are not to be trifled with | 極品辣媽不好惹 (2024)- This was released in March, but people say it was their first drama so I assume it filmed first and released after Mr. Ye. I actually couldn’t find where they mention their first drama by name themselves, so if you know please tell me! Also speaking of hot moms, she said she wants to wait at least another 2 years before having a baby. 

🎬 I heard I became the villain's white moonlight | 听说我成了反派白月光  (2025)- I think this was my first drama and I watched it before I knew who they were because their visuals attracted me. Anyway, according to Zhu Yiwei, Bai Xinyi’s least favorite are costume dramas lol. 

🎬 Moonlight | 爱在婚礼前降落 (2024)- Their dramas are not all loving and some have a BE like this one. He plays the scum who believes the green tea over his own fiance which leads to tragedy. The type of drama a FL usually transmigrates into to save the orig FL or gets reborn from

🎬 Mr. Bo, Stop Acting She Can't See |  薄少别演了夫人看不见 (2024) with Mi Qi- All I’m saying is that there’s a scene where he’s wielding a whip and looks good as hell

🎬 Unaware of the Young Marshal | 不識少帥  (2025) with Lei Yihao- Haven’t watched this one but I already mentioned the Zuo Ming one in his actor collection so going with a different ML

I am coming to y'all feral, once again

I recently watched a drama with child actress Yang Xinyan 杨心妍/Yiyi Fubao 依依福宝 (MDL) that was pretty good. She was adorable and acted well. Afterwards, she kept popping up to the point I questioned how many she has.

She has FIFTY ONE dramas listed on duanjubaike. If her first drama aired Dec 2023 when she was just 3 years old, that is about twenty a year. Even if you argue that some are smaller roles, she's still made it onto the poster of 33, with 22 of them featuring her prominently. When does she have time to be a child?

I know this comes up as a topic of conversation/concern often, but this is the first time that I've seen the reality myself. We've heard the stories of young people being dumped into acting (Yang Pengcheng), but it's jarring to see an example so young.

She's a bright and talented young girl whose future could be affected.

Is she getting only the bare minimum education? Will she become burnt out? How long are the filming days and do they stick to the one week schedule? So many questions and concerns. I know there are probably others out there (I think I see one curly-haired boy a lot), but this is the first time I've personally seen such a huge acting catalogue for someone so young.

🗣️ What a delight! Two of my fave actors with a script that ticked most of my boxes. This had me giggling and clapping my hand. This is definitely going into my fave dramas bucket. 🤸

• Blood-thirsty ML who is a complete flirtatious puppy with FL. He lets her do what she wants but cleans up other rivals behind her back. Very much a scheming concubine 🤭
• FL is a more dominant beauty-brained playgirl (but doesn't actually touch or love anyone else)
• The flirtations and banter are the exact type I love
• Supporting cast doesn't hurt the eyes
• Husband who comes back from war and tries to force in a concubine will get me every time
• I love when they turn dynamics on their head and have women do and say the same thing as men. There was a scene where a character said that men should be gentle as water and take care of women, otherwise what's the use of them especially when they can't lay eggs 😂
• With these two I knew the kissing would be good and plentiful and it doesn't disappoint. That carriage scene had me yelling
• They know one of JXY's best assets is his chest and they put it to work! The brothel scene 🫣 We did lose his nipples to censorship though🪦
• "I don't want to be a ruler, I only want to be a subject beneath your skirt." Romance, baby!

🗣️ I'd say this is more of a fan service drama than anything serious, but if you love fun then you'll have a good time.

🗣️My Thoughts:

I can't decide if I liked this one or not. It was definitely a bit bloody. From the opening, you get hit with torture and a murdered baby, which sets the tone of this revenge story. The harem scheming and maneuvering was well thought out and, dare I say, fun? I also liked how this drama doesn't spell everything out for you and there are actually things you understand and notice yourself without being spoon-fed (e.g. the sister becoming pregnant in the past life was not a plot hole). I also loved the moment when her family realizes >!they sowed, watered, and harvested the FL’s revenge themselves.!<

🗣️ The FL: 

One of Dong Yue Yu's more serious roles. She is a doormat in her first life, chasing familial love and living humbly through all of the abuse. She was conditioned through years of being on the bottom rung of society and still somehow a bit naively optimistic. In this life, she's a jaded realist who uses her deep understanding of harem politics and human nature to her advantage. 

🗣️The ML: 

This is the most "villainous" I've seen Jin Xuan Yu. He usually plays more devoted and loving ML's but in this one he's, well, an emperor. FL describes it best when she says he views the harem like cats and dogs for amusement. He's also blind to people's true character because as emperor, he arrogantly believes his perception is flawless. This does make it easier for FL to get her revenge at least. Honestly, that's mainly why I can't decide if I liked this one or not. I had to sit with the discomfort of harem and an ML I didn't like. Also one teensy tiny petty aesthetic gripe. Y'all know I love me some JXY, and he's so handsome, but his new veneers are killing me. I hope that gets sorted out soon. His other drama that came out at the same time with Yang Fang must have been filmed first because he looks fine there.

🗣️ THE CHEMISTRY 

It had lots of good kisses (and bare chest moments)! I really like DYY and JXY together. This is their 4th collaboration and you can see the high level of comfort they have working together.  I think that’s also why this particular storyline was a bit hard to swallow for me. Torn between giggling over the kisses and side-eyeing ML. Once he falls in love, he does become devoted to only her, and he's not technically a scumbag, but hm. I do like the choice they made on whether or not FL loved him in the end because I found it realistic given everything. >!He was in love with who she crafted, not her true self. Is it really love when it's a facade? Can you love someone who views others as disposable until they're not? Can the pain of your child being murdered fade with time? Is he truly blameless when he's at the helm of a system that allowed the tragedy in her first life to occur in the first place?!<

🗣️  Yes, I am here again with Mei Jun, but I can’t think of a thirstier costume drama. Just look at the material. And that’s not even all of it. I had to leave some surprises for anyone wanting to watch after this. 

To quote myself: “It has a light BDSM undercurrent as their dynamics are essentially a dom and a sub.”

I’ll admit I undersold the dom and sub dynamics. It is present in every interaction they have. He’s domineering and nurturing, but the key point is that she’s open and receptive to it. She doesn’t just let him control her life without her own thoughts, she bites back (literally). We love a bratty sub. They are the perfect fit for each other mentally, emotionally, and especially physically. I need these two to do more dramas together because damn.

🗣️  This is a saving the villain system drama with a death countdown if tasks aren’t completed. FL transmigrates into a princess who has been abusing a captive prince. She has to then stop him from blackening and taking revenge. Our FL doesn’t play by the rules though.

First of all, Tian Jiu Luo is the most seductive FL for me personally. Whatever she has going on works on me 100%. Pair her allure with puppy-eyed Wu Hao and it’s over for me. Those wide innocent eyes as he blackens? The way she doesn’t compromise and still treats him as her possession even as the system begs her to be nicer? The thing about TJL’s characters is that she does such a great job at playfully placing men under her thumb. Her affection is a gift and they better say thank you! These men are right where they want to be and I need them to move over so that I too can be led by the nose.

🗣️  I can’t find much on this one, but considering it’s GL, I’m not surprised. A boxer with a troubled past who becomes a bodyguard for a rich heiress with a fiance. Yet somehow the bodyguard is the damsel half the time. 

I’ll be the first to admit that this isn’t my usual type of drama. Emotionally, not my cup of tea and it didn’t leave me satisfied. I don’t like doms who don’t give enough emotionally. HOWEVER, I am 10000000000% percent here for thirst reasons and thirst reasons only so who cares. There’s even a collar, but like I said, I can’t give y’all all the scenes. 

All I can say is 👁️ 👄 👁️

A nice little 40 minute slice-of-life drama. They're forced to go on a blind date by their mothers and decide it won't work because they're different kinds of people. She's carefree and unambitious, ordering take out and playing games everyday. Her idea of fun is taking photos at a studio. Meanwhile, he's sensitive, driven, and organized. He loves going for runs, cooking, and investing. They end up stuck together during a typhoon which leads to them dating. Due to their differences, they have to work through growing pains in the relationship. Really, it's just two people with different ideals and thought processes trying to meet in the middle. Quite relatable.
