Carista reviews

I did a quick search and didn't find anything, so I figured I'd ask here. New LC500 owner, thinking about ordering this OBD2 dongle and just using the initial free trial period to make some settings adjustments, mainly to disable the annoying beeps while in reverse. I just read however that the LC has a remote start function that's usually disabled by default.

I don't know how true this is, it may just be some kind of AI slop that google delivered, but I was wondering if anyone here has the Carista device and the service. If so, did you see (has anyone seen) this feature enabled? Google says the dealer can activate this, along with disabling the chime for back seat belts. NO ONE is fitting in my back seats LOL, highly unlikely that I'd need that feature.

With that said, the only other thing I've seen other LC500 owners tweak was turn signal settings for bumping the stalk to change lanes. (from the standard 3 blinks to either 5 or 7)

Can you chime in with what you used the OBD2 device and app to change, and does anyone on here have remote start enabled??

If you want to check and see if you already have it, this is what Google said you need to do:

Key fob remote start method
If your LC500 has remote start enabled, you can use the key fob as follows WheelsJoint.com**+1**:

  1. Press and release the LOCK button twice within two seconds.
  2. Press and hold the LOCK button for three seconds.
  3. The turn signals flash, the engine starts, and runs for about 10 minutes before shutting off automatically.
    • If you open a door during remote start, the engine will shut off for safety.
  4. To stop remotely:
    • Press UNLOCK (doors unlock, re‑lock after a short delay)
    • Or hold LOCK for 2+ seconds (doors remain locked).

Weird find, uncut negatives

Many years ago my buddy's dad walked into his room and handed each of us a rolled up poster sized sheet. I've never seen another and have no idea where or how he found these.

This is mine, I asked my buddy if he still has his, but he hasn't gotten back to me yet.

Anyone know anything about these?

I can't find anything to compare it to online.

Bought a small lot of parts for an action figure line I collect, it worked put great because I needed everything in that lot to ALMOST complete two figures. Waited 5 days to even ask about an update on the shipping. Zero previous communication from seller. They finally reply, something to the effect of "sorry, Bern busy, it'll go out tomorrow"

Wait three more days and say "well, I guess this hasn't shipped yet?" Nothing. Wait about 10 hours maybe and sent "???" Then within minutes I get the attached. They immediately canceled the sale and blocked me, interestingly though they have tons of stiff going up all the time and this lot never popped back up for sale, which really sucks, I was so excited to check these parts off my list and move on.

I don't feel that I was an asshole, It had been 8 days since I purchased this stuff. I think the seller sold behind my back for a better deal somewhere else and to save face tried to make me look like a jerk.

I understand life happens, hell, I was out of town for two weeks when this went down, I just wanted to know the status.

Am I the asshole for expecting the seller to ship in a reasonable timeframe?? Ughh back to the hunt. People suck.
