This team feels like the 2024 team except for one huge difference

And that is they are only 3 games back from a WC spot.

This team has not been good. And painful to watch. And yes there is lots of competition for that last WC spot.

But in any other season, being 3 games from playoffs in July means you’re still in it. And usually means you buy at deadline.

In 2024, Jays were about 9 games back from WC at this point. Similar teams, drastically different context

The AL is still so bad

Did the Jays just blow two games they should have won for a series sweep? Yes!

But the As, the Rangers, the Orioles, the Twins, the Tigers have also lost their last two.

The Blue Jays still have a wild card spot!

Let’s go Blue Jays?

Has anyone tried the tee popper?

I’m getting non stop ads for this. And I’m guessing it’s working because I’m thinking of getting one for my 8 year old

He does machine pitch, will move to kid pitch next year. He has no problem making contact but wants more reps and I can’t always pitch to him

It seems great for reps but only uses whiffle balls instead of harder balls? Does the up and down motion of the ball help train timing for pitches?

Any feedback welcome. I’ve been bombarded with ads on social media and wouldn’t mind another opinion

For reference - here’s the tee popper: https://kynvale.com/products/kynvale-baseball-hitting-trainer

Hey all - I’ll be coaching a kids rec team - ages 7-9. There will be 1/3 pretty good, 1/3 ok, 1/3 never played baseball. This is machine pitch.

My goal is for kids to have fun, and for all the new kids to be able to make contact with the ball, and the more advanced kids to get better

Any tips or resources to coach such a wide range of skill levels?
