Beginner friendly ranges ?

Hello, I am a completely new to shooting and am looking for recommendations on a shooting range that is beginner friendly in the south Florida area, preferably Palm beach county. The one near me doesn’t allow beginners and requires you to do a one on one $500 course first (Too expensive). I also have my own firearm and ammunition, thanks.

Finally got the call

I finally got the call today and I still can’t believe it. From application to final offer it was 7.5 months. Im in a very competitive state and after 5 non-selects, 8 oral boards, 7 polygraphs and 7 psych evaluations, I was finally given a chance to start my career as a deputy at a large sheriffs office. A quick background about me: I have a squeaky clean record, solid work history, great references, only one Ticket from 7 years ago and a perfect credit score/history. Ive never actually failed a hiring step. I’ve always finished at the top of all the PAT tests I’ve taken, I’ve passed every written exam and I’ve never failed an oral board, psych or polygraph. I would always make it to the middle or end of a hiring process and get a non-select letter because of “better qualified candidates” (maybe lack of military experience?). It was really demoralizing but I took the advice from the helpful redditors here telling me to just keep applying. I’ll be honest the worst part about the whole hiring process is the wait. Waiting so long after each step and for the background check to finish feels like an eternity. Im starting the academy in mid July and start pre academy next week (not really sure what that is but ok). I’m currently deep in 2 other processes but I just sent an email to them requesting to withdraw my application. Thank you to all the helpful people in this subreddit, I really appreciate it and if you have any advice for me that would be great.

Neighbor references

Hello, I am currently on the last step of a hiring process (Backround investigation) and I am struggling with the neighbor references part. It says I need 3 neighbors who live directly behind me or next to me and they will be mailed a letter.

Here’s the problem, I live in a low income apartment complex where the people aren’t exactly friendly, (lots of breaking into cars and marijuana usage). I must have knocked on about 30 doors and most of them did not answer the door. The ones that did answer, declined either because of privacy reasons, fear of being questioned by police or simply because they don’t know me, which I totally understand because I really don’t know anyone in this neighborhood. I’ve lived here for almost 5 years but I’m almost never home and don’t recognize anyone who lives here. It’s no surprise they don’t want to give personal information to a stranger for nothing in return. I also feel like even if someone here DID help me out, they’d probably just give me false info or ignore the letter, but anyway, what would you guys do in this situation? Should I try my old address ? I wanted to get some insight before emailing my BI about it. Thanks

Currently in a couple of hiring processes and I want to leave my current employer so bad not because I’m expecting an offer soon but because I hate it and it makes me miserable, I don’t care about loss of income as I have 5 years of rent saved up. I just don’t want to give any BI’s the idea that I’m a quitter because that’s far from the truth. Any advice ? Thanks.

This would also allow me to prioritize my physical fitness and focus on finishing my AA degree this August.

This would
