Pod swap causing highs

Recently, the last 10ish pod swaps, it seem like it takes several hours before starts absorbing.

I usually remove pod, take shower, dry off, and install new pods. About 30 mins no insulin. Then after couple hours, and sugar level will start climbing.

Previous responses were take some insulin to cover from the old pod, then small bolus right after putting new one on. I was low before removing original one today, so held off on that.

Said "high" on the pdm couple mins ago. Says 395 now. Is there any other ways to mitigate this? I'm considering just going back to MDI because doing this every 3days is not worth it.

Tegaderm users

Does the tegaderm hold up in the heat/humidity?

I work outside in Houston. It is hot and humid. Bought the tegaderm, haven't used it yet. Wondering if it holds on as good as the omnipod?

Low carb and active

I've been doing low carb for several years, but cant figure out how to get around lows. I know it have to eat, but what are the low carb ppl taking in during lows?

I did a normal food program the last 2 weeks. I felt hungry ALL THE TIME! I had pretty good sugar levels most the day, but felt sick and bloated the whole time.

I feel the best when eating low carb, trying to cut the insulin back at night (most my lows occur 1-2hrs after I go to sleep)

Poor absorption on outer quads

I've had pods in these areas before, but the last 2 times my sugar levels just continue to climb. I prefer putting them in these spot for my deadlift days. The bar clears the pods, can wear a belt around waist. Only other place is the back of arm, but that area needs some rest.

What would the reason that it worked before but not recently?

What's going on with omnipod

I've only been using OP5 for 3 months. Been impressed with it. But this last box, 2 of the pods had a system error right after canula goes in.

What are the "system errors" that cause it to be replaced, and why can't it know that until after. Instead of injecting the canola and making my body into a pin cushion?

Manual mode

Who gets better TIR when using manual mode?

The other night, my sugar level shot up at night. Lost so much sleep that I missed work. Auto mode took my basal from 24 units a day, to 14. I dont understand the algorithm or why it does what it does.

Went from 55% TIR in auto mode to 95% in manual mode. Not trusting the algorithm much

Algorithm not correcting highs at night

Only had the OP5 for 2 months. First 2 wks it worked great. Now my sugar creeps up at night and OP5 does t try to correct it.

Is there something in the settings I can adjust to help with this? Still learning g how to play with it
