I accidentally gave my lucky penny as change to a customer. Can anyone help me find the customer?
Now, this is not at all like that incident last November. This time, it was an accident and entirely on me. Early yesterday morning the first customer of the day came in and bought my custom Frank Sinatra fishing lure (only $9.99 for a limited time only). He handed me a 10 dollar bill, and since there was no change in the register, I just reached into my pockets for a penny like I usually do. Unfortunately, my lucky penny wasn't so lucky today, and without thinking I picked a penny from my left pocket instead of my right, where I keep my non-lucky coins.
The customer was a polite, cheerful young man who mentioned he's a big Sinatra fan as I was ringing him up. He has a cleft chin, very curly hair almost like an afro, and was wearing a t-shirt with dogs playing poker printed on it. I don't know if he lives here or if he was visiting from out of town, but if you know him, please let him know that I want the penny back, and will trade him a shiny new nickel for it, in light of the inconvenience.
It is a 1987 penny, slightly green and oxidized on the tail side. It's brought me a lot of luck, and I'd hate to lose it!
