50+ days on Journey by Mediavine. Does this actually get better?

Hey everyone, looking for some honest feedback from publishers who have real experience running Journey by Mediavine .

I applied to Mediavine expecting the main network since my site made well over their minimum annual revenue requirement ($5,000) last year. They accepted me, but routed me straight into the Journey program instead. During the entire onboarding process, there was never any option or prompt to upload proof of earnings, so I just rolled with Journey to see how it performs.

I have been live for around 50 days now. Over 95% of my traffic is from the United States, but my page RPM stays stuck around $7-8.

For comparison, on the exact same site and traffic: AdSense made between €15 and €17 RPM. A small independent AdX company made between $20 and $25 RPM (switched away because their ad density was way too heavy).

I moved over because of Mediavine’s reputation for high payouts, clean ads and strong programmatic demand. I followed their RPM setup guides and made sure the placements are where they need to be, but the numbers have not moved at all.

How long does the ramp up period actually take on Journey? For publishers who have been on it for 3 months, 6 months, or longer, did your RPM eventually pick up after the first few months, or is $7 to $8 just what people should expect on this setup?

Would love to hear how it played out for others before I decide whether to stick it out or move elsewhere.

Stuck with "Ad serving limit" for about 1 year

Hello,

I've been working with Adsense in my blog since 2020, but since September last year when i got my first " Ad serving limit placed on your AdSense account due to invalid traffic" , message, i've been stuck in a loop.

I have about 100-150k monthly unique visitors, 95% of them from usa, traffic source is Organic Social (from my facebook pages). For 4 years i didn't have a single ad limit, then i don't know what happened, but there has not been a spike in visitors, or something like that. I paid a lot of freelancers in upwork, and they did some fixes in SEO, layout and other things, but still the same process:
- Ad serving limit appears,

- I remove ads

- Ad serving limit dissapears after 10-15 days

- I put ads and start driving traffic to my blog

- Ad serving limit appears after 7-10 days

I read that this might be because of facebook traffic, but i know at least 2 colleagues of mine, that have blogs in the same niche, have 2-3x more visitors than me, and never had any problems.

I even tested with Pinterest traffic, and the same happened.

Does anybody had an experience like mine, and can this be fixed?

Thank you in advance.
