Hey everyone, looking for some real experiences and advice.

We have an almost 5-month-old female mix (mom was a Husky, dad unknown, currently around 10kg/22lbs). She’s been with us for a month now. Potty training is going great and she already sleeps through the whole night in a small pen inside our bedroom.

However, we are really struggling with leaving her home alone. Whenever we try to leave, she starts crying and barking. We’ve been trying gradual training exercises, but every time we do a "real test," she panics/cries as soon as we step out.

We’re currently considering getting a crate, but I’m really torn:

1. Will it help with separation? We want to build a safe, cozy space for her so she can relax when we’re out of the house, and eventually transition her out of sleeping in our bedroom.
2. Is it too late/hard to introduce? She’s been with us for a month with relative freedom in our room/living area. Will it be a nightmare to crate train a 5-month-old Husky mix now?
3. Is it worth the investment? I’ve seen a lot of people saying their pups stopped using the crate around 8–10 months anyway once they could be trusted.

For those who introduced a crate a bit later or dealt with similar separation struggles at 5 months, did the crate help? Or should we focus on a different approach?

I got my puppy about a month ago. I've always loved dogs, grew up with several, and getting a puppy felt like a natural next step. But I wasn't in a good mental place before this, and the puppy has just added a new layer on top of existing issues.

Context:

• I live in an apartment with poor sound insulation, and I'm extremely noise-sensitive (footsteps, doors, dragging sounds… hypervigilance).
• I moved to this apartment about 1 year ago, and due to some neighbours' noise, it never felt like a safe, restful space even before the puppy.
• With a 4‑month‑old puppy on top of that, I'm constantly on edge: worried about noise, about her peeing near the neighbour's area (already had one confrontation), about her dropping toys, etc.

The confusing part:

• She's actually well-behaved for her age.
• I love her, and in a different environment (we spent a week at a relative's detached house with a big garden and no neighbour noise) I could finally relax.
• But back in my apartment, I think about returning her almost every day.
• I've started wanting to go to the office just to get away from the environment.

It's also hard to accept that I'll probably have almost no social life in the next year: always worried she's home making noise, or that it'll take ages before she can handle being alone for a few hours. As a young couple, this feels like we're putting our lives on hold at a time when we should be enjoying it.

I know people say "it gets better", but I also hear "it gets worse before it gets better, up to 12–14 months", and I'm not sure I can handle that in this environment. My partner is very attached to the puppy and doesn't want to rehome, which makes this even harder.

Has anyone here been in a similar situation?

• Did you push through and regret it, or rehome and regret it?
• What helped you decide?
• Any practical tips for surviving the first few months without completely losing it?

Vim morar para um apartamento há cerca de um ano (vivi sempre em vivenda) e estou a entrar em parafuso ligeiro com a questão do som.

Vivo numa zona super tranquila, não tenho vizinhos propriamente barulhentos ou mal-educados, mas dentro de casa sinto que nunca há silêncio absoluto. É sempre o vizinho de cima a andar, coisas a arrastar de vez em quando, ou vozes muito lá ao fundo a ecoar pelas tubagens/prédio. À noite acabo quase sempre a dormir de tampões.

A minha dúvida é: o silêncio total num apartamento é um mito e depende 100% da sorte/construção, ou sou eu que sou muito sensível ao som e tenho a fasquia demasiado alta por ter vindo de uma vivenda?

So I just started the tutorial to learn this game, and I'm stuck on this part because I only have 1 dahan on Inland Mountain to push to the Inland Wetland. Am I missing something?

Planning a Southeast Asia trip for late Nov - early Dec 2026, roughly 18 days. Torn between spending it all deep in Thailand or splitting it into ~10 days Thailand + ~8 days Vietnam.

Part of me wants to slow down and really soak in one country. But I also feel like I want to see Vietnam now, since I'm not sure I'll get another chance to go back to this part of the world anytime soon. Anyone regret picking one over the other?

Hey everyone!

I made a mistake when I bought Coral Island on PS5. I started a co-op save because I thought the game had local split-screen. Once I realized it didn't, I just kept playing on that same save completely by myself.

The problem is, my PlayStation Plus subscription just expired, and now the game won't let me access my save because it's flagged as a co-op/online world.

Is there any way to convert or transfer a co-op save into a single-player/local save on PS5? Or am I completely locked out unless I renew my PS Plus or start a brand new game from scratch?

I really don't want to lose all my progress.
