I'm planning to create a modular style base for the upcoming BDP Kiosk and share instructrions for it on my Rebrickable profile. With the building being 14 studs wide, I decided to build it on a 16x32 baseplate. Before I do so, I thought I'd ask you for your preferences!

- Should this base be a 'straight', a 'corner', or a 'double corner'?
- Should the building be at the front of the baseplate (~6 studs from the kerb) or in the back, creating a little plaza in front of it?
- Should the area behind the Kiosk be tiled or not?
- Any other preferences?

BDP Series 7 has shipped and the official instructions are online, so I've updated my modular style base for the Sushi Restaurant and published two separate builds on Rebrickable:

The restaurant base is built on baseplates with a 1.5 modular (32x48 studs) footprint, and the tram line on baseplates with a half modular (16x32 studs) footprint. I kept the original split down the middle of both of them, so the models still separate just like the official design.

My modulars are on rotation because I only have one shelf to display them, and today I updated the layout! Curious to hear how you like it :) From left to right:

After the success of my modular style bases for The Art Factory and Sushi Restaurant, I have now created one for the upcoming BDP University of Science! Preordering for series 8 starts June 9th, so there's still some time to consider. Sorry not sorry if you're now convinced you want to get it :)
