IQAir HealthPro Plus XE Reporting 0

This is now our third replacement HealthPro Plus XE from IQAir and every single one does the same thing. Sometimes it reports the AQI and PM2.5 to the AirVisual app and other times it reports 0. It’s not just the app because I have the unit in balanced mode so it automatically adjusts as needed (one of the main reasons I bought it) and it’s not upping the fan speed when I know the air quality is bad. For example this morning the outdoor AQI is over 100 and the app shows 0 across the board and I’m having trouble breathing.

The only thing customer service will do is continue replacing the unit with a new one which is just ridiculous because all of them do the same thing.

This latest unit is less than two weeks old.

Anyone else seeing the same?

Quick Change Triggered Safety Shutoff

We just got two premium plus thermostats, one for upstairs and one for downstairs. The downstairs has a set schedule and works great.

The upstairs is off because we don’t normally use our upstairs and don’t need to pay for heating/cooling constantly. I deleted the default schedule so it now only has the comfort setting of sleep 24/hrs a day.

I created a comfort setting called workout so I could set the system to cool and then tap my comfort setting via the quick change menu to set the desired temp.

Yesterday my wife set it cool and manually set the temp. While it was running I was showing her how to use the comfort setting so she could tap to set it up via the quick change menu.

As soon as I pressed the comfort setting via quick change it changed from cool to off and triggered the safety shutoff on my furnace control board. We didn’t realize until today and I had to reset the control board to get it to deliver 24V power again (super fun in TX heat with a multimeter in the attic).

I spent two hours of wasted time on the phone with Ecobee and the rep could never understand the issue (though I explained it about 30 times).

We used to have the Nest thermostats and never had this issue. I could set the temp and whatever sensor I wanted to use and it worked. Is this a known issue with Ecobee?

Apparently, unless you use a comfort setting there’s no way to manually adjust the temp and set which sensor(s) you wish to use. I don’t want to have this issue again and I feel like this was a big waste of money since I can’t do the simplest thing of setting the temp and choosing my sensor, and if I do it via quick change it kills my control board.

Would love some guidance because I’m about to return these things.
