Odd comfort/safe foods

I’m sure this has been discussed here before and I’m just not very good at finding the previous post(s).

What are some odd foods that bring you comfort/are safe during a flare? I’m talking about food that other people or yourself would have assumed would be the worst to have during a flare. For example, when I’m having a flare, I can always count on the chicken nuggets and fries from McDonald’s to settle fine and fill me up a bit. Whenever I tell people this they always seem shocked and say that they thought that would be terrible during a flare.

Rectal prolapse

Are prolapses common for peri-anal crohns??? I don’t strain/have solid BMs so I know it’s not coming from that (I have chronic bile acid diarrhea 10-15x a day). I’m able to get everything back inside but for the last 2 days irs been happening 3-4 times a day and the pain is unimaginable. It doesn’t even get better once things are back inside.

I’m meeting with a colo-rectal surgeon tomorrow to discuss the active Crohns but these prolapses are brand new.

I don’t know what else to do for this pain, it’s easily the worst pain I have ever had in my entire life. It’s even worse than when I had my previous bowel resections

Fissure diagnoses

Hey y’all I had a sigmoidoscopy done on Thursday for severe rectal pain I’ve been having (they thought my chrons is now becoming active in the rectal area). There is a fissure on both the left and right sides of the opening of the anal area and they’re so swollen they’re almost completely closing the entire opening. They also found atleast 4-5 tears inside the area and they’re oozing, bleeding, etc.

My new GI who is taking care of me is trying to urgently get me in with the colo-rectal surgeon he works with ASAP but no promises unfortunately. In the meantime, I’ve tried 5 different creams (prescription and OTC), sitz baths and I’m not getting any relief. Ofcourse it’s the weekend and a holiday so it’s impossible to get in touch with my doctor.

Does anyone have any other recommendations for pain relief in the meantime?

Crohns & endometriosis

Has anybody else been diagnosed with endometriosis on top of their crohns? If so, how did they diagnose you and how are you being treated for it? Does one flare up cause a flare up of the other?

250mg dose

Has anyone ever been on this dosage (250 mg) before? If so, what were your side effects like compared to lower dosages or just any side effects in general

10/10 rectal pain

Does anyone have any recommendations for rectal pain relief?! I’ve tried sits baths, numbing/lidocaine/nitro creams, etc. I’m having horrific diarrhea that isn’t giving the rectal area a chance to relax and the pain is so severe I can’t even sit down now. I’ve had strictures and other issues in the rectal area but imaging I had done yesterday doesn’t show anything (as usual). I’m in so much pain and I messaged my doctor but still haven’t heard back. I don’t know what else to do to bring me even the slightest bit of relief
