Should I clean grey water with no PPE?

The last 4 days the restaurant I’ve been working in has had flooding problems. At first I thought it was sewage water. Initially the smell was like rotten eggs and is now more musty and pungent to the point it makes me gag. The plumber who fixed it said was just dirty water, I decided to close the restaurant as I didn’t want to get anyone sick and my boss is not happy and is telling me I need to clean it. The only PPE we have is vinyl gloves. Am I wrong for not thinking it’s my job to clean it?

My dad owns a restaurant and is making us work in sewage

I work for my dad at a restaurant the last 3 days the bar area and part of the customer area has been flooding with raw sewage.

I voiced my concerns but was screamed at for having a bad attitude, I don’t want to call health and safety as it’s my family and I can’t lose my job right now or have the place shut down, I’m really stuck and don’t know what to do.

I’ve been walking in it for three days to the point that I can still smell it when I’m home and I’m worried about getting ill.

I’ve been walking in it for three days to the point that I can still smell it when I’m home and I’m worried about getting ill.

Update:

I have made the decision to report it myself, I have sent an email to the local food safety standards authority, I don’t want to be responsible for someone getting ill or dying. I’m worried myself, I have cuts all over my hand and I’ve been handling stuff contaminated with sewage I’m unsure about wether to go to the hospital myself, thank you for all your advise and I’m sorry if I upset anyone.
