In the last few beta’s and even in the current one, some media I tune to just shows the first frame of video. The audio is playing fine though. I can fast forward it and that seems to “kick” it into playing normally.

It’s not everything, but for example S4, E10 of Game of Thrones did it.

Also the tune in time is much longer in this release. It says tuning in for longer than the old static did. Might take 30 seconds to a minute to change channels.

Opened bunny ears tv today and it began on an episode of the traitors (tv show). There was no sound so I clicked and once it’s full screen the sound is perfect. Go into the guide and the sound stops (but video is playing). It just has an English 5.1 audio track.

Thinking maybe it’s just that media file, I go up a channel to a movie called happy feat. Same thing, no audio. Click to make it full screen. Audio is perfect.

Used the channel buttons on my one for all Apple TV remote a few times while full screen. Landed on Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. Great audio and video full screen. Hit guide and the audio goes silent. Scroll up a few in the guide and select Silo S3, E1. It’s playing in the top right of the guide but no audio. Click to make to full screen and audio is perfect.

TLDR; no audio when guide is up. Audio is fine when a program is selected and playing full screen. Tried various channels (media files), same result. Doesn’t seem tied to the audio encoding.

Hello, I have an Apple TV 4K connected to an LG C2 oled. On Sunday morning we had a power failure for just under an hour and today we had a power failure that may have lasted 10 seconds. Both times when the power came on the tv went “click” and turned on to the Apple TV Home Screen. It wakes me up because our ceiling fan shuts off so it quiet (that needs the button on the remote pressed to start back up).

Also if we weren’t home I wouldn’t want the tv on all day, especially since it’s an oled sitting on the static Home Screen. I guess in time the screen saver would come on and eventually sleep to off.

How can I prevent the tv from turning on? I use a one4all Apple TV remote and I hit the button, but you can tell it takes a second or two for the remote to “wake up” and get the pop up menu to appear to click power off in the upper right to shut it all down.

Our other tvs and computers are all set to “last state” so they only come back on after a power failure if it was on in the first place. None of them have Apple tv’s though.

I found an issue using Roamless eSim in the U5G backup. Roamless generated eSIM in the US will randomly connect to Verizon Wireless (311480), AT&T (310410) or T-Mobile (310260). I was doing some cable cleanup and relocated the U5G backup and I kept getting a "Network Not Authorized" message. I would reboot it multiple times and keep getting that until eventually I got it to lock onto AT&T. AT&T is slower, about 20/10 mbps in testing, -107 to -104 dBm signal. Prior to recabling things, it was locked onto T-mobile at -90dBm and I could get about 50 down 20 up. I kept rebooting the U5G hoping it would eventually go to T-mobile, but I kept getting bounced between "Not Authorized" or AT&T. Right now I just left it at AT&T since its better than Not Authorized.

I contacted Roamless support and they suggested locking the device onto the carrier I preferred. They provided instructions how to do this for IOS and Android. Obviously the U5G is a new product so it looks like Automatic or Manual carrier selection is just not in the Unifi Network 10.4.57 UI. I've raised a support ticket with Ubiquti to get this feature in place and have a ticket number. They also have all my support logs. I would suggest if anyone else is looking for this feature, they should also raise a support ticket. Ubiquiti support reps were very understanding of the issue.

So why Roamless then? For me, I wanted something that was pay as you go, just a single payment for a bucket of data. I did a one time payment for 20GB. I have Fiber to the home 1gbps up and down, and since install it has 100% uptime. So I figure for the very rare occasions the fiber goes down, that 20GB might last me a long time, more than a month even. If I had an unstable connection that went down all time, I would opt for Computers 4 People plan, but that's just under $15 a month, where as my Roamless plan was about $15 and that may last me an entire year if my ISP plays its cards right. So its just an insurance policy, plus a little testing here and there that I've done with a policy route for a VLAN to make sure its working, but I've only used 0.3 GB out of 20 GB so that should last me awhile.

TLDR; Roaming MVNO's like Roamless that auto connect to any carrier at random may cause the U5G to try to connect to an unsupported / Not Authorized carrier like Verizon. Roamless says to set the device to manual carrier selection and choose the carrier of choice. This is only possible on IOS and Android. A feature request was raised with Ubiquiti for this option in the U5G settings. If you have this issue please also raise this feature request, as support was very receptive to this idea and issue.

I thought that a new Japanese steakhouse was going in where Willobys on park was, and I can’t find the name or website to see if it’s open. Does anyone know if it’s open, what it’s called- and if not what’s a good Japanese Steakhouse nearby?

On Trex Fascia boards site, they have a corner detail on inside and outside corners.

Is this additional board just more Trex Fascia product nailed on top to hide seams? I know as things expand and contract over the years this detail might hide any imperfections over time. I'm just curious if this is the same product since in the below example its color matched to the fascia.
