Finally got friends at age 21.

As an introvert who hasn't had any close ties with anyone, especially after studying on the other side of the country. I joined a local basketball league 6 months ago and met a lot of amazing people.

Three of my teammates became really close and we see each other outside basketball about 2-3 days a week. We hang out, listen to each other and explore new things together.

Last week, I moved into my new apartment and my 3 friends lent me a hand with the move.

After I moved in, they were constantly hanging out at my place. I am having happy thoughts because I actually got friends. Not associates or acquaintances, but friends. The ones who come over and want to hang out with me.

Those people really get my social awkwardness, and I have never felt judged. Instead, they are the most motivating people I've ever met.

It's nice to think that I finally got my people after a long time of being a loner.

I cannot describe how amazed I am by the feeling of belonging that I've been wanting for years now.

I jog every 3 AM to do active recall

I don't really pull all-nighters when I am studying for exams. I study at 8 PM then I will finish at 10. I just highlight and read my notes 3 to 4 times. Then after I study, I don't look at my phone to doomscroll instead, I take a cold shower and then sleep. However, at 3 AM I wake up, get dressed and go for a jog.

It sounds strange, I know but the reason I am doing this every 3 AM is to do active recall while jogging. Once I start jogging, I speak out loud about what I just studied and when I forget something, I add 5 more minutes. I usually jog for about 1 hour or more, depending on the topic I am studying and how much I retain from it.

I've been doing this since last year and honestly, this method has helped me to actively work my brain to remember the material, as well as work my body to stop being lazy about studying.
