Hi! My friends and I (25f) are looking for some cool locals bars/restaurants around Carlsbad/oceanside. We love divey beach bars and live music! Any recs?

First time traveling to Carlsbad, recommendations?
I (25F) am traveling to Carlsbad August 10-15 (flying in and out of San Diego). I have never been to California and would love to explore a good mix of tourist things and local spots! I love to beach, go out to eat, outdoorsy adventures, go to bars, shop - pretty much down to try anything! I am staying with a few girlfriends but they may be working most days so will also have plenty of solo time. I may rely on uber/public transport but am open to renting a car - open to recommendations!

Help Decorating Large Blank Wall?
I just moved into a new apartment (yay) but have no idea what to do with this giant blank wall in my living room/hall area. I am hesitant to put anything on the floors and limit the space behind the living room chair (want to keep the walkway open). I also plan to put an entry way table to the right of where I am standing. I also rent and cannot paint! Thank you!
Edit: The picture is taken with my back to the front door, so I am standing in the entry way and plan to put an entry table to my right! The wall I need help with in the picture is more of a hallway area and has limited floor space behind the chair.
