Finally finished my Roni sweater, kolibri by Johanna

It took me quite long to finish, but I am happy to finally be able to wear this beautiful Roni sweater, designed by kolibri by Johanna, and share it with you.

Not a simple pattern in my opinion, especially for a beginner and for the yoke section.

The result is really worth it.

I used for the main yarn, Soft sensation by Lammy yarns held double, and for the textured and lace sections, added Pascuali Suave as the second strand. It did grow a bit with blocking, giving a nice fit and long sleeves 💜

All other infos in the card in photo 😉

New Rowtine version 1.3

I just released a new version of Rowtine, the testers can update it on the Play store, it is under way on F-Droid and already available on Github.

What's new? A new Stats screen for each project, that can be shared as a picture to anyone you'd like (see example above), plus some display fixes thanks to u/lypaldin, who reported these bugs 😉

Happy knitting and crocheting!

Rowtine: free and open source knitting and crochet app!

Hi everyone!

After many months of development, testing, improvements, and personal daily use, I’m thrilled to present Rowtine, a free, open-source knitting and crochet app (for Android) I created, that requires no account, no ads, and no internet connection, made in France 🇫🇷.

What it does:

- Project tracking: status, technique, sizes, dates, yarn, needles, photos, notes

- Interactive pattern reader: a size selector filters all the numbers in the pattern, step-by-step guidance, and a diagram with row tracking

- Persistent session timer that survives sleep mode or a restart

- Fully local pattern PDF import, with no AI or online uploads

- Row/stitch counters, multiple per project, plus independent counters for projects without patterns

- Yarn inventory: brand, weight, meters, price, and remaining skeins

- Pattern library and abbreviation cheat sheet

- Detailed statistics by month, quarter, half-year, and year

- Tracking of yarn and pattern expenses

- Customizable interface with a wide range of colors and light or dark themes

You can download it for free from the F-Droid open-source app store, and it will be available soon on Google Play.

Happy knitting to all!

New needles day! ChiaoGoo 10cm complete set

It is new needles day for me, almost as exciting as a new bike day (nothing beats a new bike day for me 😁)!

After months of questionning if I should buy them, everything I read or heard about their quality convinced me. So for a birthday present to myself, I did it, and I am so excited to try them!

The first project I intend to cast on with them is the For you sweater, by Alaza knits, a men's sweater. I better start now so my husband can wear it this winter, as it will be made in XXL... wish me luck 😅

Has anyone already knitted it?

Your opinion about the gauge of my Anders cardigan (kolibri by johanna) in progress

Hi everyone!

I have started to knit the "Anders cardigan" from Kolibri by Johanna a few weeks ago. It takes me quite long because of the charted pattern, but the model is amazing so I really want to have it done.

One thing I would love to have your opinion on, is my gauge. I am a tight knitter, but my result on this looks quite loose, on the contrary to what the designer's photos show and many other persons who have knitted it on Ravelry.

I like the fabric I have obtained, and I wouldn't want to redo it as it has already been quite a challenge to get there for me, but do you think the result will be nice with wider holes and a looser gauge overall?

Maybe I chose too big needles or it's because it's cotton? so soft btw...

Besides, I am the only one to find that her patterns are quite hard to follow, not clear and very confusing? Maybe this is because I am still a relative beginner and this one is a bit complicated, but let me know if the pattern seemed clear to you if you did it. I personnaly prefer when steps are in the right order, following each other and explained in details, not having to go back and forth between the beginning of the pattern and different parts explaining things that you can forget as they are not referenced to when needed.

Thanks for your thoughts 😊

Marisol shawl with cotton sparkly yarn [FO]

My last crochet finished project, the Marisol shawl, a Hobbii free pattern, made with Twister glitter yarn.

It took me quite long to do, especially the puff stitch rows, but worth it!

New on Reddit, a first knitted garment to introduce myself

Hello fellow knitters! I am new on Reddit as stated above and a fairly new knitter. Crocheter and knitter, I fell in love with fiber arts a couple of years ago, my thing being wearables and accessories.

I am French and very happy to meet you all 🤗

So as a first post here, I am happy to present you my Twist loop top, by Other loops, recently finished 🥰

A bit tight, I must admit, but I can wear it 👍

Happy knitting to you all!
