I made this 10 years ago. ✏️ I drew the background pattern myself as a simple line design, then experimented with it in Photoshop using different effects and blend modes until I got this. 😊

I wanted this drawing to have a soft fairytale-like romantic vibe. 😊
I originally drew this on paper in 2015, before I got my drawing tablet. So I traced the lineart with a mouse using vector points, then finished the piece in Photoshop.
Fun fact: she’s actually a mermaid. 🧜♀️ I know it’s not very obvious since only a small part of her is visible, but that’s what I intended her to be. I even added seashells to her hair.
Though honestly, the final result ended up looking more like a constellation. ⭐ That wasn’t my original intention, but once I started developing the drawing, it just naturally turned out that way. 😊
I love drawing long, decorative hair! Sometimes I experiment with my art style, but that part never really changes. 😊
I made this in 2015, before I bought the drawing tablet I still use today. The process was pretty tedious though. 😄
I first drew it on paper, took a photo of it, then recreated the lineart and shapes in Illustrator by placing vector points with a mouse. 🖱️ After that, I continued rendering it in Photoshop, still with a mouse, and added some of my own photo textures too.
This is one of a writer friend’s characters. ✨
11 years ago I was debating whether to get a drawing tablet, so I decided to try a few drawings without one first. 😊 I drew this on paper, then recreated the lineart with a mouse using vector points, colored it in Photoshop, and added my own photo textures. In the end I got a tablet… and I’m still using the same one today. 😄

Another old drawing from the days when I was too scared to add shadows to my characters. 😄 But at least I tried giving her a background.
As for the headpiece, I remember seeing similar designs on DeviantArt back then, and they inspired me to draw something like that myself. ✨
The drawing is from 2017.
10 years ago I was still figuring out digital art. I used my photo textures all the time to kind of hide how bad I felt at rendering. Hope you still like this early attempt of mine. 😊
