The Veiled Lady by Kocsondi Nelli (me)

I started creating digital art at the end of 2015.

I actually began this piece back when digital drawing was still very new to me. I wanted it to have the feel of an old painting, but I quickly got stuck because I couldn't figure out how to achieve the look I had in mind. Back then, I usually deleted anything I didn't finish right away. For some reason, though, I just couldn't bring myself to delete this one.

A few years later, in 2019, I opened it up again and finally finished it. Did it turn out exactly the way I had originally imagined? Not quite. Even so, I was really happy with the final result, and it's still one of those pieces I genuinely enjoy looking back on. 😊

Casta and Adao by Kocsondi Nelli (me)

This piece is from 2018. The pattern in the background was drawn by me as well. ✍️

These characters belong to a writer friend of mine. I surprised her with this drawing in 2018. 😊

I wanted to create a card-like composition. The pattern in the background was drawn by me as well. ✍️

Harmony by Kocsondi Nelli (me)

I wanted to draw a girl with long, golden hair and a mysterious golden stream flowing nowhere. What connects them? Who knows. Maybe you do. 😊

From 2018.

Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe by Kocsondi Nelli (me)

Hi everyone! 😊

A week ago, I shared my Hualian fanart with you, and now it's Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe's turn. ✨

I drew this piece in 2019 after reading all of MXTX's novels. I originally discovered her through the MDZS donghua, but I had heard so many good things about her work that I decided to read all of her novels before watching it.

So I started with SVSSS, and it was such a fun experience. Later, I even wrote book recommendations for both SVSSS and TGCF for a free Hungarian online anime magazine. I created these illustrations for those articles. The only reason I never wrote one for MDZS is that several other people had already done it before me. 😄

This old drawing definitely has its flaws, but I hope you still like it. 😊

He’s Calamo, a character created by a writer friend of mine. I drew him 10 years ago. I used my own photo textures for this piece. 😊

Vrudla and Agrodé by Kocsondi Nelli (me)

I drew this 10 years ago as fanart for a writer friend of mine. They’re the main characters in one of her books, so this piece is still very special to me. 😊

I know it has a lot of flaws, though. Back then I was still learning how to render, and I often relied on textures to cover up my weaknesses. 😅

Hua Cheng and Xie Lian by Kocsondi Nelli (me)

Hi everyone! This is my first post here! 😊

It's funny: the first books I ever read in English were written by a Chinese author. 😄

I love MXTX's stories! 📚❤️ I drew this back in 2019 after reading her three novels: SVSSS, MDZS, and TGCF. I also watched the donghuas, the live-action adaptations, and pretty much everything else. 😊

I even wrote a book review of TGCF for a Hungarian free digital magazine, and I created this illustration for the article. ✍️ And I even read it again when the Hungarian edition came out. 😊

This is quite an old drawing, though. I made it before the TGCF donghua was released. I absolutely love the donghua's character designs, so nowadays I'd probably draw Hua Cheng and Xie Lian a bit differently. But I still like the composition and the colors. I hope you like it too! 🌸🌂

(For a long time, this drawing was only seen by my Hungarian followers, since I only joined Instagram and Reddit last year. 😊)

Little Red Riding Hood in the Winter Woods 🌙 | Kocsondi Nelli

This drawing started while I was testing brushes in Photoshop. I was just making random strokes on a blank canvas, and after selecting one particular brush, I ended up really liking the result. So instead of deleting it, I kept working on it and eventually added Little Red Riding Hood.

Why her? Honestly, I didn’t put much thought into it. It just occurred to me that her red cloak would look great in this black-and-white setting.

I didn’t draw the wolf, but I wanted its presence to feel unsettling and looming over the scene. So instead, all you can see are its tracks in the snow, mixed with the blood of its previous victim... 🐺

Part drawing, mostly editing | Kocsondi Nelli

This started as a simple line pattern that I duplicated into a mandala-like design. ✏️ After that, I kept experimenting with it in Photoshop until I got this result. 😊

I made this 10 years ago. ✏️ I drew the background pattern myself as a simple line design, then experimented with it in Photoshop using different effects and blend modes until I got this. 😊

She’s actually a mermaid… can you see it? 🧜‍♀️ | Kocsondi Nelli

I originally drew this on paper in 2015, before I got my drawing tablet. So I traced the lineart with a mouse using vector points, then finished the piece in Photoshop.

Fun fact: she’s actually a mermaid. 🧜‍♀️ I know it’s not very obvious since only a small part of her is visible, but that’s what I intended her to be. I even added seashells to her hair.

Though honestly, the final result ended up looking more like a constellation. ⭐ That wasn’t my original intention, but once I started developing the drawing, it just naturally turned out that way. 😊
