I am creating a Four Souls windows application that lets you play the game with an ai of your choice

(EDIT) I forgot to add pictures of the card browser and other features, but I may make a followup post if anyone seems interested.

this was a long standing idea I have had and finally decided to bite the bullet earlier this week. Right now the application includes:

-Nanogpt, opencode, and openrouter API support (seperate image model support with these same 3)

-Card browser for every card and alternate card currently in game

-Clicking cards allows you to flip them, and view them up close

-An immersion mode that looks similar to a normal tabletop session

-The option to capture screenshots that instantly sync to the application (options for window, entire screen, and snipping tool)

-Themes

-A manual stat editor

-A manual card editor (loot and treasure)

-A detailed handling of every card in the game which includes their stats and abilities.

Testing multiple different LLMS (expensive, cheap, and free) have brought excellent results, the application handling all of the information so a bot never hallucinates a card or ever forgets their hand, hearts, souls and such.

The ai is capable of working back and fourth with the application to:

-Understand each and every rule

-Assign itself the correct starting card and cards it may buy or loot

-Change its stats depending on factors like cards that supply you extra health or damage

-Keep track of monster cards and their specific abilities

-Supply itself rewards

-See and understand your images (sent through an image model)

Future implementations:

-A way to add custom cards that are understood and used properly by the ai

-Local LLM support so it can be played completely offline

-A non ai bot mode that would also of course work offline

-Smoother and more polished state for normal and immersion modes

-A completely different mode based off of turn based fighting systems

-A fully working four souls experience inside the app itself (long)

-A funny gacha gamemode for gamblers to spend fake money

How does gameplay look like?

I use tabletop simulator to keep track of my own cards currently, with me either adding the ai's loot cards manually or telling it to add a random lootcard to its hand. The system has been thoroughly tested and a good way to see if everything is good and working is to ask your ai to add a random assortment of cards to its hand.

Why make this?

I have always been fascinated with the four souls experience but have only had few chances to actually play with others. The solo mode is fun for awhile but doesn't come close to the actual core gameplay. I have practiced doing this in regular chats with LLMs but the issue with all of those was trying to actually keep it on track and not make up cards that do not exist.

I have no idea if anyone would be interested in something like this, but I have had fun making it come to life at least. Would love to hear thoughts!
