contract hours

the job i applied for was 17 hours and on the phone they offered me 30 hours. i agree to things far too easily and i’m not entirely sure i want 30 hours (mainly due to transport).
are m&s reasonable with wanting to shorten hours?
if i do like a month of shifts and then realise dang i actually want like 25 hours for example, would they let me cut down?
[apologies if this is a silly question, i honestly have no idea how jobs etc really work]

DAE have a fear/phobia of eyes?

i’ve had a fear of eyes for as long as i can remember (21 now). i hated the opticians as a child and i still do. i can’t use eye drops, i don’t wear eye makeup and i literally feel sick looking at anything eye related.
i don’t like eye contact, i have a huge fear of going blind or having something wrong with my eyes, i freak out if something gets in my eye.
i suffer badly with dry eyes but i can’t use eye drops or an ointment because i’m too scared i can’t even begin to move and try.
i’m aware it is “silly” as i know it won’t hurt me or anything but i don’t know life without this fear! i feel so lonely regarding this fear as i haven’t met or spoken to anyone with it?!

cafe job

how did others find working in the cafe?

i’m not going in expecting it to be an easy job which is quiet, my interviewer was nice and honest with me but she never worked in the cafe.
