Extreme pain

My pain meds aren’t working today. Oxycodone/Acetaminophen 5/325 every 4 hours. i’ve been having to do 7.5 every 4/6 hours instead because 5 just doesn’t cut it. i usually take it with an ibuprofen 800, but today it’s not working at all. what do you do when your pain gets this way? i’m so so SICK AND TIRED OF THIS!!!! Edit: i am taking the Amneal Pharmaceuticals brand. i’ve noticed it doesn’t work nearly as well as alvogen or mallinckrodt. i’m so stressed out about this i feel like im taking the medication for no reason.

I delivered to a motel last night.

It was 71 items, stuff for a toddler/young child’s lunch, and the payout was $20, 5 mile drive. Being a Wednesday, I decided to take it because I wasn’t sure how the rest of the night would pan out and wanted to take what I could get. It took me an hour to shop for the things, plus another at least 15 minutes to check out. Case of water, cases of juice, 2 liters, a kids water cup, kids bento box, many frozen food items, snacks, breakfast food, etc. lots of bags, it filled up my trunk completely. So seeing the address, and an apartment number in the 200s, i’m thinking it’s an apartment complex, and I get a little irritated because I have sooo many things and I know i’m going to have to make multiple trips. When I pull in, I realize it’s a motel. So I drive around looking for the room number and I see it on the second floor, right in the middle of the walkway. The only set of stairs to reach it are on the side of the building, so I carried them all up in 3 trips, all the way up the stairs halfway across the entirety of the motel and back down. Well, after I dropped off the first load and came back with the second, the customer was standing outside on his phone. I walk up to him to give him the second load, and I say,”hello, did you want to go ahead and give me the delivery code so I can grab the rest of the stuff?” Which he proceeded to do, then said, “I wanted to give you this too,” It was $9 cash. I said, “oh my god thank you, you don’t have to do that!” He said it’s fine! So I started telling him i’ll go grab the last load, and he offered to come get it instead. I told him no, it’s only a case of water, capri suns and the case of chips. So i go back and grab the stuff, and when I reach the top of the stairs he’s waiting there to get the things. I was super sweaty, as the medicine i’m currently taking makes me get overheated very fast, so i felt the need to apologize for the sweat. 😂 He said it’s no problem, and I told him thank you and have a great night. I’m not sure where I was going with this, but he tipped $10 on the app plus gave me $9 cash. I really wanted to just let him know that I may not know him, but I see him and he’s a good dad for doing what he’s doing for his son. I’ve been in his position before, but before I had any kids. I was hotel hopping and slept in my car a night or two, and I know how much of a struggle it is. But to be able to provide your son with everything that he needs, a roof over his head all while staying in a motel and still find it in your heart to tip very well, just shows the kind of person you are. I pray this man gets the life he deserves for him & his son. All of this to say, it’s always the people who have little to nothing who are the kindest. He’s literally living in a hotel with his child, and still made the choice to tip me $19. I had another delivery afterwards, which was gallons of milk, juice, etc and they were heavy. The customer was rude, lived in a decent sized house, and only tipped $2. I’ve noticed this a LOT since i started doordashing in 2021.

Cps in Va

Someone made a report to cps about me. I have an almost 3 year old son and i live with my parents. The allegations are that there’s substance use and DV in the home, that my son has developmental delays that i haven’t addressed and i don’t take him to the doctor. I have all medical records since he was born and proof that he has zero developmental delays. I offered to take a drug test when the caseworker came yesterday even though i wasn’t the one the substance use was about, apparently it was my parents, who i live with. I passed it obviously but my dad didn’t take it because he had just went to the restroom before the caseworker showed up, so he has to take one this upcoming week i believe, and my mom was at the hospital at the time cps came. Do i have anything to be worried about? my son has an abundance of toys, food, clothing, he is flourishing in every way. I even have a fridge in his bedroom with extra space for more food. I cook home cooked meals for dinner every night and the fridge is full of fruits and vegetables. I’m just torn up over this and want to make sure i do everything right. my actual caseworker is coming by next week or i’m hearing from her, that’s what the other caseworker said.
