Inside Big - Redo Takeover Progression if your shooting attributes is below a certain rating

Not much to explain. Inside Bigs have to play damn near perfect games to get their Takeover and to KEEP it if they're not shooting 3's. I'm getting tired of being statically better than matchup with 4 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists (as an example), but my matchup has Takeover from 2 3PT shots, 1 rebound, and 1 assist. Also, it's not fair how defensive bigs (in general) can be penalized multiple times in a single possession by simply playing help defense which makes it harder to get Takeover. As stupid as it sounds, bigs should be immune to the defensive breakdown penalty unless it was their matchup that scored.

What 99 Strength Should look like in NBA 2K for an Inside Big

https://youtu.be/VH1xyOSKSIA?is=FbmZ47PvbUP3d5yI

The Post Game needs to be reworked.

No shrinking dunk meter...

No fumbling the ball when catching it in the paint...

Blocks LEAVE the paint area...

No easy steals after a rebound....

No missed open dunks...

Not being forced into a layup with contact from a perimeter player...

Steals on Post-ups vs Dribbling

It's wild to me that it's infinitely easier to get a steal from a non-moving big man posting with both hands on the ball versus a center that's dribbling the ball.

Post game needs to be improved.

They Really Need to Work Paint Gameplay

Playing Inside Big is frustrating as hell.

  • Can't do a simple move to get the ball out of the paint. You're basically stuck with passing the ball out immediately after an offensive rebound or trying to dunk the ball IF using a pump fake doesn't make you go up for a layup leading to....

  • Pump fakes are inconsistent as hell. I'm getting tired trying to pump fake, and my player goes up with the ball instead.

  • Dunks that begin outside the paint are guaranteed money for the most part. Dunks that begin inside the paint has a chance of being turned into a layup with some body contact.

  • What is up with RNG dunks on safe dunks????

  • Stumble animations happen too frequently in the paint. For example, If you had a perimeter player run into the corner, they simply catch the ball, maybe take two more steps and then do a clean transition into their shop. On the other hand, if a pass is caught beneath the FT line, there's a brief fumble animation, and know you have worry about if you're going to get out of the animation in time for the dunk or go out of bounds.

  • WHY are players using a rebound tip animation when they're directly in front of the rim. I have too many situations where I'm literally three steps into the next play in my mind whether it's defense or offense, but my player decided to tip the rebound instead of securing the ball forcing me into a game of volleyball.

  • Point blank...the ball shouldn't be more tangible in the paint when compared to being outside of it. I actually feel for perimeter players when they do a simple move as coming into the paint, but the ball breaks loose when someone bumps them. However, they probably dribbled through 3 players on the perimeter on the previous possession.

  • They need more RNG ball trajectory after it hits the rim. I feel like the ball travels too much TO the person with the highest rebound rating versus the rebounder just being in good position to get the rebound...if that makes sense.

  • For the love of GOD...lower the dunk success rate when players make the correct read. Make paint defenders great again.

RNG on Dunks Now?

Okay. This has happened to me, and I have seen it happen to other players too much over this weekend where I can't ignore it anymore.

Let me understand this. As an Inside Big, I have to worry about shrinking standing dunk meters, random input whether or not I get a standing dunk versus a layup, multiple bad grades for playing help defense, getting dunked on 90% of the time even if I'm in good position, my blocks going back to the offense, random tip animations on rebounds that I could have easily secured, no dip centers, ball get easily stolen on a roll or simply trying to get the ball out of the paint...and NOW...I have to worry about missing on a safe two-handed dunk when no defender is jumping at my dunk too??? This is can't be real in a season where Shaq is the featured player.

Yet, a meta guard can dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble, and shoot objectively a bad shot with damn near no negative consequences or abuse the AI for a ridiculous amount of points, but I can't get a simple dunk when open??? This is some straight BS. I missed 2 "open" dunks in the same game.

Immovable Enforcer and On-Ball-Meance Badges

Supposedly, if I bump you multiple times, it's suppose to lower your shooting ratings dramatically and make it easier for me to steal the ball if I have all 3 of my adrenaline bars. I'm not seeing it...

Dear 2K Gameplay Devs,

It's okay for a big to catch the ball rolling to the rim, and it not automatically be a loose ball if they get bumped.

Also, it would be nice if bigs weren't the only build to miss a random uncontested dunk.

Lastly, we can put the ball on the floor for more than 1-2 dribbles near the paint without someone stealing the ball versus a perimeter player who can dance through water and not get wet.

Sincerely,

The Big Man Community

Give us the option if we want to play secondary positions!!!!

I created my center to be a center. I created my SG to be a SG. I created my PG to be PG. There's a reason my SG doesn't have high rebounding attributes for the SF. There's a reason my C doesn't have high ball handling attributes for the PF spot. There's a reason I feel "lost" when I can't initiate the offense from the SG with my PG.

Meta Guard vs Meta Guard

I have to know. Do you all genuinely enjoy playing against each other? Do you all consider it a challenge? Hell, do you all get frustrated like everyone else?

I just played with my PG build, and got 36 points dropped on my mine head. Yes, I have defense on my build and all Legendary defensive badge. Yes, I know how to play on-the-ball defense since 2K5. My matchup was chaining moves so fast that I just couldn't keep up, then the jumper was so quick as hell that he was nailing shots with just a sliver of light. He was shooting before my mind even registered the gather. I got lucky, because the SG and SF thought I "sucked" at defense, and they took turns getting their head cracked too, before they were like "Good luck. That's all you now.".

The meta nonsense is the main reason that I don't like using my PG build. All the other positions have meta builds, but not meta movements where they seem unstoppable with their ball handling. Plus, I prefer playing help defense, because of how my other builds are made.

I hope this a permanent glitch for me 😁

Kinda fun looking like my build is flying.

I hate when people complain above defensive effort

But then refuse to switch with the teammate that's getting killed. If I can, I always try to switch with my teammates if they have a tough matchup unless my matchup is a genuine offensive threat or not possible if I'm playing my center, but it's the PG that's going off for example. If I have an AI, I'm definitely switching my teammate.

Long distance prescription - Alternative

I'm just reporting back after buying the long distance stick-ons. This is actually a good alternative. When you're applying them to the glasses, you have to handle it with the same precision that you would have when putting on a screen protector on your phone. Bonus, it seems like they hide the screens a little bit more. Con, you definitely need to use lens cleaner wipes. The part that's closest to your eye is still sticky, so you can't use a microfiber cloth on it. For $19.99, it's an economical purchase if you don't live near an optical store that service the G2 glasses, plus you still maintain the resale value if you decide to sell them later on.

A GOAT feature from NBA 2K11 -VIP Viewer

Man, I absolutely loved this feature back then! You could scout the opponent that you just lost to or won over. You can analyze yourself and your playstyle. You could even download the VIP of an opponent, and play against that VIP offline. Ignore the stats. The servers are down, so I couldn't retrieve my online VIP profile.

Please Fix the AI for 2K27!!!

I am so tired of grown dudes throwing a hissy fit, because people don't pass them the ball on every possession, so they can shoot over the AI.

What's your Starting 5 team? I created my final build for the year, and it's a SG. Randomly, I started thinking that I coincidentally created a Starting 5, and wondered what other people's Starting 5 team was. My team is...

6'2" PG - Andre Miller playmaking with Gary Payton's defense

6'6" SG - Carmelo Anthony 3-Way Level scoring including post moves with passable defense

6'8" SF - Swiss Army knife player that can do a little of everything

6'7" PF - My Rodman/Draymond player that can guard all 5 positions and specializes in rebounding

7'2" Center - Shaq...no other way to describe this player.

This team would be best suited for the 90's era of basketball due to the lack of a volume 3PT shooter, being mostly focused on defense, and for the use of pure Inside Big.

Technically, it was my 6'7" PF that got slid down to C, but whatever. If I knew this message was coming, I would have taken a screenshot of the boxscore. If my matchup wasn't potentionally zenning too, I would have switched to defend the PG. I only said potentially, because I did get caught on some bad rotations and my man was open. However, one of my shot contests was red, and he still nailed the shot.

What's ironic about this comment is that our last possession before we lost by 2 was ME grabbing an offensive rebound and kicking it out for a 3.
