Thoughts/Tips on Visiting for Xmas

Long story short, life took a turn and I will likely be alone for the holidays for the first time and looking to escape - I've read good things about Poland during this time of year, and figured I'd see what my Polish friends on the internet had to say.

I'd be coming from the US, and really enjoy immersing myself into the local culture, history, food, activities, etc.

I'm pretty well traveled so used to navigating foreign places, but still want to do my research first so any insight on things to do, must see and dos, etc. would be appreciated.

Thanks!!!

EDIT: I don't have to be there for Christmas Day specifically, even activities or events leading up to are of interest.

Help Trying to Revive this Cub Cadet

Hey all,

Someone left this Cub Cadet mower in the woods behind my house, and before I throw in the towel I am hoping to see if anyone on here may have any advice on something I've missed or could do to help revive it.

It was obviously neglected, and when I tried to start it initially it jerked back so hard it almost took my arm off.

I've outlined what I have done so far to troubleshoot and try to bring it back to life, and any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

1.) Checked the oil, added additional and verified no leaks or damaged seals/gaskets.

2.) Drained the fuel tank, replaced the fuel filter, and added fresh gas.

3.) Replaced the carburetor, air filter, and all gaskets/seals for the intake system.

4.) Verified the flywheel key wasn't sheared.

5.) Replaced the spark plug, disconnected the ground, and used the ignition coil to verify spark and rule out a faulty coil or plug.

6.) Strong resistance when trying to crank it over led me to believe the valves could be out of adjustment - I followed a guide I found, aligned the flywheel to True Dead Center, and shimmed the valves to .004, and .006.

Went to try to start it after all of this, and while the resistance wasn't as bad as the initial attempt I could only get through 2 strokes with the pull before it essentially got stuck and would not try to turn over.

Thanks to whomever read this far, and any insight or guidance is truly appreciated - would hate to toss this thing as it seems like a nice mower.
