I’ve decided to make it a little personal mission to visit Mumbai’s iconic, old-school, cult-status beer bars. Not looking for fancy breweries or cocktail lounges, but the legendary places with their own character and history.

So far I’ve been to:

Gokul, Colaba

Hardeep Punjab, Sion Koliwada

Janta, Bandra

Aziad, Vile Parle

Cafe Oval Churchgate

What other places belong on this list?

I’m especially looking for those old-school Mumbai institutions that locals would consider a must-visit, even if the place looks completely unremarkable from the outside. The more legendary and no-frills, the better.

What am I missing?
