Looking for a post/document/whatever about a guy journeying through a rejected first draft of the Mundus
I don't think I can call it a book, because I'm not certain it's ever appeared in a game, or is even "official", but anyway I'm going crazy trying to find this thing because I'd like to reread it.
As the title states, it was the journal or log of a guy who managed to travel to a rejected first draft of Magnus' design. I remember it being described as land masses floating in stasis in a white void, with gears and clockwork underneath them. There might have been animals? Sometimes the clockwork would grind to life for maybe a few seconds. The guy had to carry around a piece of Nirn (dirt? I think?) in order to keep time flowing for himself. The "sun" was a gigantic eyeball that moved whenever the "world" came online, and the guy was really concerned about what would happen if it moved enough to see him.
