Shabir Ahmed grooming gang leader was released after 14 years, staying in a flat paid by tax payer money and somehow was housed near a playground... while he awaits of deportation. Is this a joke?

The gang leader of the Rochdale grooming gang, the gang which raped about 50+ underage girls repeatedly that is multiple times once or twice a week... He is awaiting deportation to Pakistan

In the meanwhile the UK government also provides donations to Pakistan (a country developed enough to maintain nuclear deterrence) https://www.geo.tv/latest/499894-uk-to-increase-pakistans-aid-to-133m-from-next-financial-year

>UK decided to triple Pakistan's development assistance starting FY2024-25, raising it from £41.5 million to roughly £133 million annually

>A Rochdale grooming gang leader has been removed from a town where he was placed after his release from prison, following concerns he had been housed near a playground and a mosque.

Shabir Ahmed, who was jailed for multiple counts of child rape and sexual offences in 2012, was placed in Accrington after being released on licence at the start of July.

In a letter to Lancashire Police, Kamran Mahmood, the chief executive of Ghausia Rizvia Jamia Masjid, said putting Ahmed nearby was "a serious error of judgement" and threatened "public safety" and "community cohesion".

What are your thoughts on Homosexuality being legal in the UK?

Hi all,

Map is the LGBTQ rights by country or territory. To me it should be legal world wide

I’m interested in hearing about your views on homosexuality being legal in the UK

I’m not asking whether you personally consider homosexuality permissible or impermissible in Islam, but specifically whether you think same sex relationships should be legal and legally recognised in a country like Britain

Do you believe it is perfectly reasonable for homosexuality to be legal even if it conflicts with Islamic teachings, or do you think Islamic beliefs should have some influence on how the law treats homosexuality?

I’m interested in hearing different perspectives, so please keep the discussion respectful

"Reform UK has stopped short of supporting the complete abolition of leasehold"

Hi all,

From the BBC article below, leasehold is still around and hasn't been resolved by any government (2024 was the first real attempt to tackle it).

It seems Reform is the only party with no interest in abolishing it. Why is Reform UK not supporting the removal of leaseholds?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cp8llpp67l1o

>Reform UK has stopped short of supporting the complete abolition of leasehold.

Converting a block to commonhold means transferring ownership from the freeholder to the residents, and how existing freeholders should be compensated is disputed.

The previous government tried to make buying a share of freehold cheaper through the Leasehold and Freehold Reform Act 2024. But those changes were challenged in the courts by freeholders, who argued the reforms breached their human rights.

The government won that case, but the decision is now under appeal.

Barrister Dr Douglas Maxwell told MPs it was "almost inevitable" that further legal challenges would be brought under human rights law once the new legislation is introduced.

What are your opinions on this petition? Stop pilot scheme giving up to £40,000 to failed asylum seeker families

Mahmood is giving 'asylum seekers' 40k https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c0j559146e6o

>Families of failed asylum seekers will be offered up to £40,000 to leave the UK under a trial scheme announced by Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood.

>Mahmood said the government would seek to forcibly remove failed asylum seekers if they do not accept "incentive payments" of up to £10,000 per person, capped at four per family, within seven days.

>The scheme is expected to target about 150 families living in taxpayer-funded accommodation, and the Home Office estimates it could save £20m if successful.

>Mahmood said housing a family of three in asylum accommodation costs up to £158,000 per year.

How would that save money when more people try their luck because they can get the 10k + free food&accomodation + doing Deliveroo black market in the meanwhile? (Delivery companies having 'asylum seekers' working for them https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cj615p5y5kko )

Someone started a petition against it: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/763401

>The UK government should stop its pilot scheme offering failed asylum seekers our hard earned money for them to leave the UK.

>We feel it is not fair to the UK people to provide our money to failed asylum seekers to get them to leave.

Shabir Ahmed to be released this week after 14 years of jail for leading the gang rape of 50 underage girls, how is this possible ?

Shabir Ahmed was a gang leader ruining the lives of at least 50 UNDERAGE girls by frequent repeated gang rape....

plus assuming each girl had 2 parents, 2 family members, 2 friends; that means directly hurting more than 350 people plus affecting everyone else around and he is free after 14 years? How much human tragedy and loss does that cost? There is no way to measured the damaged he and his gang did yet he is released? Unacceptable

I cannot understand it

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cx2wl6ynn2no

>The ringleader of a notorious Rochdale grooming gang is set to be released from jail this week and cannot be deported, his victims have been told.

Shabir Ahmed, 73, known to his victims as "Daddy", had dual British-Pakistani citizenship but was stripped of the former following his conviction in 2012 for multiple counts of rape and sexual offences against girls.

Lutfur Rahman elected as Executive Mayor of Tower Hamlets. Considering corruption charges, how is this possible?

From Wikipedia

>He was re-elected at the 2014 mayoral election as the candidate for Tower Hamlets First, but the result of this election was declared null and void on 23 April 2015 when the Election Court officially reported Lutfur Rahman to be "personally guilty" of "corrupt or illegal practices, or both" (electoral fraud) under the Representation of the People Act 1983.^([2])^([3]) He was thus removed from his office with immediate effect and was also personally debarred from standing for elected office until 2021.^([4])^([5]) He was also struck off as a solicitor.^([6])
