Type 2 without cable?

Type 2 without cable?

Why did the mennekes type2 now says without cable? Some are getting confused in our local EV group asking whether or not they should carry their own cable. Theres no more option for regular mennekes type 2

Dilemma: Mazda MX-5 vs Mini Cooper

Refer to past post: Spent RM100k in Repairs , It has come to a decision of letting the Peugeot go.

Now have to decide on a replacement.

Option 1:

2022 Mazda MX-5 1.5 A/T Soft Top

-Sub rm140k

- My fav soul red color

-Always wanted an MX-5 since teenager

- Super Strong resale value, reliable and low cost of maintenance

- 5 years warranty by Mazda Malaysia despite being a recon (IDK how but somehow its like this)

-Cons: Terrible external noise despite roof up, sounds like open window but all windows are closed, relatively low tech car not much features to play with, downgrade interms of comfort and luxury feel compared to current Peugeot.

Option 2:

2022 Mini Cooper S 3-door

-Sub RM140k as well

- BMW B48 engine is heaven drivetrain, very punchy and exhaust note just nice + go-kart like handling

-Got adaptive cruise control (rare spec for Msia market)

- Feels very premium and luxurious, more space than MX-5 (duhh), more features to play with

- 8 years warranty (third party warranty provider).

Cons: Not a convertible, future value lesser than the Miata.

PS: The use for the upcoming car will mostly be for weekend use primarily as I have another car for daily work commute.

What's your take on this?

5k Salary and RM125k car?

Hi All,

M30, Single here, gross salary around rm5k, combined savings and investments (mostly ASB and TH) now roughly around rm245k .

No house (living with parents), no relationship, no car under my name.

Current commitment is mostly just on food , tolls and family car repairs which totals up around rm1.2-1.5k per month.

Since my teenage years I have been longing for a Mazda MX5. Which now can be had for around rm120k-130k. Planning to put downpayment around rm30-40k from the sale of my unused current family car for this one. Will be my first car and first loan in my life.

Btw this car shall only be used for weekend drives and other misc occasions, as my daily office commute i am using the family EV car that is charged off solar at home (zero cost here)

So is this feasible or should I just let go of my dreams until I earn more? And whats the best number of year loan I should get if I were to proceed.?

My parents are a bit reluctant as they are a firm believer of you can only afford a car that is less than your annual salary and loan must not be longer than 5 years. But eventually I have to make a decision on my own.
