Took my flock to the vet only to learn all 4 of them are overweight. She told us to prioritize greens over seeds/pellets and told us to give up trying to switch them to pellets(???) I was so surprised by that. Has anyone else here successfully trimmed up their flock? What worked for you?

Four tubs for four boys but they still fight because they want all the tubs!
I'm looking for a new bed, upholstered platform style. I had Thuma in mind but I've seen a lot of complaints about weeks of degassing after setting up. I have parakeets in my bedroom and they have very sensitive lungs, so I have to be careful. Has anyone here purchased an upholstered platform bed that didn't reek of chemicals?
