Oil change every 5,000 miles?

Really? Seems pretty annoying. Do people actually follow this recommendation or is it a "scam" by Toyota to make dealers money? My other car has 10,000 miles oil change interval.

Edit: I guess I was confused. Toyota has a recommendation of every 5k for service but every 10k for oil change. I guess every 5k service is still annoying but it's not directly related to the oil change. Coming from EVs the idea of wasting time going to dealership is annoying.

ultimate car camping car, if money was no object

Can't be actual camper van (like those high roof camper vans with full kitchen, shower, etc.). Also it'll be your only car, so you must use it for everything (work, errands, etc.). Guessing the ultimate car camping car would be some sort of minivan or SUV? But which one? What are the features that make it the ultimate car camping car? Would you go EV to get the climate control?

Any solutions to Fitbit Air over counting steps?

I've done everything (disconnect, reset, checked all settings) but the Air consistently over counts my steps. If I walk 100 steps, sure it will be pretty accurate. But just sitting around, typing, doing normal non-walking/moving stuff it will over count. I literally wake up and check the step count and it says 100 while my other tracker says like 30. There is no way I did 100 steps while I slept, even if I tossed and turned.
