My opinion on the themes on Townfall.
Apologies in advance for my big rambling as well as being a mobile user!
I just finished playing the game last night and I’ve been stewing in my thoughts and an opinion on the game and what I’ve taken away from the game is that I feel that the game is about survivor’s guilt and how surviving a massive tragedy can tear at people.
It’s also about the opportunists profiting from that said tragedy for they own gain or otherwise. I feel like it very poignant now since the 9/11 anniversary memorial happened not to long ago and you have a bunch of political figures using it to either ensign hatred to other groups of people or for political points. (Cough cough Trump cough cough).
I believe the at the ending, the massive creature in the end represents the court public opinion and the whole ending is a metaphor of the tribunal hearing (or at least how Simon would have wanted it to go).
I don’t have much thoughts about Zoe other than she feels inadequate as a nurse and how she feels like she been neglecting her patients.
Anyway these are some of my thoughts on the themes and symbolism of the story and I’ll love to talk about with people and hear what they think is happening. See you in the comments!
